Zums Sighting & Kinz Klips

You can gain access to the Zums Sighting feature in the Zumwhere area of the Magical Forest in Webkinz World by purchasing and entering a code from a Kinz Klip at the code shop. Kinz Klips are plush toys sold by Ganz. The Kinz Klips plush is a tiny version of a Webkinz World Pet with a plastic blue clip attached to it. This clip can attach to backpacks, key chains, etc. newklips.png

What do I do in Zums Sighting?

In the Zums Sighting section of Zumwhere, pictures of 48 Zums are collected to unlock prizes. There are 8 types of Zums to collect. Rare, Uncommon, 1, 2, 3 and Common 1, 2, 3 and 4. Notice there are 8 prizes to be unlocked (Click HERE to see Zumwhere Prizes).

If you take a clear picture of the Zum you "collect" it and get 3 colored marbles. If you can't take a clear picture of the Zum, the Zum will usually leave a food gift behind. To make things more interesting, sometimes you'll be offered a challenge which you may choose to do.[1]

If you refuse the challenge you will lose your turn for the day. If you fail the challenge you get nothing and will have to wait until tomorrow to try again but if you complete the challenge you will get a picture of the Zum.

What happens when we get the same Zum picture more than once?

Multiple sightings of the same Zum do not add to your collection. You can only "collect" each Zum once, even if you see it several times. However, when you find a zum you already have in your field guide, you will still be awarded colored Zummies to spend and earn prizes. However, it currently appears that if you already have 100 Zummies of one color, you will be unable to receive any additional Zummies of that color. Spending some Zummies will then allow you to again collect Zummies of that color.

Zums Field Guide

When you take a clear picture of a Zum, the information is recorded in the Zums Field Guide. The last item in the index of the Zums Field Guide is the Zumthings Catalog.

Zumthings Catalog & Zummies

Each time you sight a Zum and it is recorded in your Zums Field Guide, you also receive Zummies. Zummies are Zum money that allow you to purchase items in the Zumthings Catalog. The items purchased in the Zumthings Catalog go into your regular dock and can be played with in your regular Webkinz World rooms. The items do not go into your Zumbuddy's room.

The Zumthings Catalog will only accept Zummies that you have collected in the Zum Sighting section. You can not use Zummies that you have collected in the Visit Zums Section.
