Celebration of Hanukkah

During Hanukkah, families of Jewish faith all over the world light Menorahs in celebration. In Webkinz World, many of our furry friends celebrate too.

For each of the eight nights of Hanukkah, the candles on the Menorahs in Webkinz World are lit with an animated, flickering flame. On the first night, two candles are lit.^{[note 1]} Each night after that, another candle is lit, until on the final night, every candle is glowing. This is the only time of the year that these items are animated.

1. ↑ The center candle on a Menorah, called a shamash, is used to light the other candles, and does not represent one of the eight nights.

Menorahs in Webkinz World

Menorahs are seasonal items that can be purchased at the wShop. They are usually added to the wShop around the same time the seasonal Christmas items are for sale.

Over the years, six different Menorahs have been available in Webkinz World.

• Wednesday, November 27th in 2013
• Tuesday, December 16th in 2014
• Sunday, December 6th in 2015
