Earth Day happens on April 22nd each year. The first Earth Day was in 1970.
Ganz decided to celebrate Earth Day in Webkinz World for the first time in 2010. But instead of it happening on April 22nd, there was an extended celebration from the 20th-22nd for Webkinz World users.

In 2010, on April 20th, 21st, and 22nd, floating Earth Cookies appeared in Webkinz World. Players clicking on a cookie received a virtual cookie to feed to their pets.
In 2011, Ganz gave players a chance to win the Go Green Hat on the Webkinz Newz.
Yet in 2011 ganz decided not to return the click to win Earth Day cookie event.
