The Cooking Competition is a Webkinz Stadium Competition that allows pets to test their skills against other Webkinz members in cooking. To win a Cooking Competition, you must have the highest score of anyone in the contest. To get a high score, see the list below.
There are two factors that decide your score:
- Level at the Kinzville Academy in the following classes:
- Number of Secret Recipes made with the competing pet
- Webkinz World also says that you get extra points for putting W-shop foods in the five boxes under your pet's picture when signing up. Many people have not found this to matter, however.
- The entrance page will give you a rank title depending on how high your skills are in the above classes. These ranks are:
- Apprentice Chef
- Average Cook
- Good Gourmet
- Culinary Artist
In the quick events, the event will start whenever 20 pets have signed up. The entry fee is 25 Kinzcash. The foods you put in the five little boxes when you sign up do not seem to have any effect on what food your pet makes for the competition. Your score is based on how far you have gotten in the Kinzville Academy in running, language, and painting classes only. The score you get in the quick events will accurately show how well you have done against the competition. Five of the pets in the competition will be shown, including your own. First place wins 250 kinzcash, second place wins 100 kc, and third place wins 50 kc.
The scheduled events take place at different times, depending on the daily schedule at the Webkinz Stadium. There are 4 events each afternoon on weekdays during the school year and 6 events each day on the weekends and during the summer. There is a mix of competitions, so there may not be a cooking competition each day. Your place in the competitions is influenced by all 4 of the above academy classes, as well as how many secret recipes your pet has made.
Please note that unless your pet is selected as a "show pet" (one of the pets everyone sees when watching the competitions) your pet's displayed score will always be a total of thirteen; two 4s and a 5. Your pet's recipe will always be messed up and your pet will look very sad and distressed. This does not represent your actual score or place in the competition, so wait until the end when the top ten are listed and you will get your letter in the mail telling you where your pet placed and if you won any kc or a trophy.
The open competition entry fee is 25 kc and anyone can enter. The amount of prize money won depends on the number of pets competing. See below for pictures of the medals.
The amateur competition entry fee is 30 kc and your pet must have passed level 3 in cooking class and level one in running, painting and language classes. Your pet cannot have passed level 6 in any of the classes to compete at the amateur level. The amount of prize money won depends on the number of pets competing. See below for pictures of the trophies.
The pro competition entry fee is 50 kc and your pet must have passed level 6 in cooking class and level three in running, painting and language classes. There is no upper limit on the level your pet can be at and still compete in the pro competitions. Again, the amount of prize money depends on the number of pets competing. See below for pictures of the trophies
The deluxe competition entry fee is 0 kc. You must be a deluxe member to enter. There is no minimum of maximum on the level your pet is at in the academy for this competition. Prize money won depends on the number of pets competing. See below for pictures of the trophies.
