Caring Valley Planter's Handbook Available in wShop! *UPDATE*

Thanks to mashley and Dash for making us aware that there's a new Caring Valley Planter's Handbook for sale in the wShop.  The new book is an introduction to the Caring Valley in Webkinz World.  As many of you know, the Caring Valley will be activated by the codes from the new Caring Valley Webkinz that will be available at retailers soon.

 

UPDATE:  The Caring Valley Planter's Handbook has been removed from the wShop.

 

 

According to the new book, each Caring Valley code that you enter earns you a seedling that you can choose to plant anywhere in the Caring Valley.   Each area is designated to different charities and Ganz will make Webkinz Foundation donations based on your selections.  Once you have planted 4 saplings, you will be awarded an Enchanted Tree, which can be customized to your own liking.  These trees can be placed in your yard or treetop room, and the it appears that the type of tree that you receive will change on a monthly basis.

New Ad for Caring Valley - Picture of Enchanted Tree!

Thanks to cnetski for taking a screenshot of a new ad in Webkinz World for the Caring Valley. It appears to give a preview of what the Enchanted Trees will look like!   Until now, we hadn't been able to confirm any images or information about the Enchanted trees.

 

 

As we learned last week with the preview of the Caring Valley Planter's Handbook, after you activate 4 Caring Valley Webkinz and plant their saplings, you are awarded a customizable Enchanted Tree!

The Caring Valley Added to Webkinz World

In addition to the Deluxe Membership, Ganz also added the Caring Valley to Webkinz World last night! Thanks to yaniella from our forum for providing us with a picture of the Caring Valley map! 

Remember, in order to plant saplings and get an Enchanted Tree, you must buy a Webkinz that has a "Caring Valley" tag on it.  The first Caring Valley Webkinz is the Panda, which will be available this month.  Next month's Caring Valley Webkinz is the Poodle.

WI Confirms June Caring Valley Pet!

We can now confirm that June's Caring Valley pet is the Persian Cat.

As many of you already know, Caring Valley Webkinz are similar to the wCares Webkinz that were released last year.  Each plushie comes with two tags:  one to adopt the Webkinz and one to claim your Caring Valley prizes.  Ganz will feature different plushie each month.  The Webkinz Panda is the pet for April and the Poodle is the pet for May.  To find out more about the Caring Valley, and to see pictures of the new Caring Valley prizes, please check out our Caring Valley Prizes article.

May 1st Events in Webkinz World

May 1st is just around the corner, and there are a lot of things scheduled to happen in Webkinz World tomorrow:
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a ribbon to get a chocolate version to feed to your Webkinz.
  • Cocker Spaniel POTM - It's a new month, and there's a new Pet of the Month.  For May, it's the Webkinz Cocker Spaniel.  Adopt a new Webkinz Cocker Spaniel any day this month to recieve a special POTM gift.
  • Webkinz ExtravaGANZa - This year's Webkinz ExtravaGANZa is scheduled to run at participating Webkinz retailers from May 1st to May 3rd.  Check with your local store to see what events they may have planned to celebrate Webkinz World's fourth anniversary.
  • Deluxe Membership Gifts - Those of you who have signed up for Deluxe Memberships will receive a new Deluxe Gift Box this month.  This May's special clothing item is expected to be a new Racing Jacket.
  • Caring Valley Tree - Now that May is here, there is a new tree in the Caring Valley.  Members entering the Caring Valley code off of specially tagged Caring Valley Webkinz will receive a Flowering Fringe Tree they can customize and display in their Webkinz' yards. 
  • Emerald Lab - The Emerald Lab is scheduled to debut at the Webkinz eStore on Friday.  

Caring Valley Glitch Affects May's "Flowering Fringe" Trees

Here at Webkinz Insider we have been receiving wide-spread reports of problems with the programming for the Caring Valley trees.  As you may remember, in addition to a Caring Valley furniture item, players who enter a Caring Valley code on their account get four "saplings" to plant in the Caring Valley.  After planting the saplings, they get one special tree that they can customize and then place in their Webkinz' yards.  (Click HERE for pictures of "April's Fairy Forest Tree".)  However, something seems to be wrong with May's "Flowering Fringe Tree".  Players are discovering that  if they place this tree in their yard, the tree immediately becomes stuck.
 
Webkinz Insider member THREEAMIGOS spoke with a Customer Service Representative at Ganz this morning.  The Rep said that Ganz was flooded with calls on Friday about this problem and that the programmers are working on fixing things.  The Rep removed the tree from the yard, returned it to the dock, and advised THREEAMIGOS to wait two weeks before attempting to put the tree in her yard again.
 
Anyone who has Caring Valley saplings that they were planning to plant for May is advised to wait until this issue has been resolved.  Remember, it's the month in which you plant your saplings that determines the type of tree you get.  Saplings planted in May will get a "Flowering Fringe Tree".  Saplings planted in June will get a "Magic Maple". 

Caring Valley Tree choice available for multiple codes entered

As most of you know by now, the Caring Valley codes that come with specially tagged Webkinz have special prizes, including Enchanted Trees.  According to the Caring Valley Handbook, "the type of Enchanted Tree you will receive depends on the month".  The handbook indicates that the "Fairy Forest Tree" is the tree for April, the "Flowering Fringe Tree" is the tree for May, and the "Magic Maple" is the tree for June.  However, as WI member sgiles53 discovered this morning, there's more to the story.
 
sgiles53 had already entered one Caring Valley code this month and received May's tree.  She decided to enter a second code to get a second tree, but instead of automatically being awarded May's tree, she was able to choose between May's tree and April's tree.  Although there is no mention of this in the Caring Valley Handbook, it appears that players entering more that one code (and planting the required saplings) per month will get to choose from up to three different trees.  Previously it had been thought that, once a particular month was over, that month's tree would no longer be available.  There is no word on how long each tree will remain available for multiple codes entered.
 
And, for those of you wondering, as of this morning (Tuesday) we are still getting reports of problems with May's Flowering Fringe Tree.  All of the May trees are getting instantly "stuck" when they are placed in yards.  This is the same problem that members are having with Cash Cow Trophies and Bright Ideas Lamps.

Caring Valley Featured Webkinz for July is the Black & White Cat

The "featured" Webkinz for the Caring Valley for the month of July is the Black & White Cat.  These specially-tagged Webkinz should start appearing at retailers at the end of June.  
 
Remember, Black & White Cats without the separate Caring Valley tags will not get you access to the Caring Valley.  The Black & White Cat is the fourth featured pet in the Caring Valley program, following the Panda, Persian Cat, and White Poodle.

Caring Valley Tree for June: the Magic Maple

We have known for a couple of months now that the name of the Caring Valley Tree for the month of June is the Magic Maple, and thanks to some feature videos in Webkinz World we have had some quick looks at the design of the tree.  Today we can finally bring you a clear image of what this tree looks like.  This picture shows a blended combination of all of the Magic Maple tree design options.
 
Remember, each Caring Valley tag code you enter gives you four "saplings" to plant in the Caring Valley.  It's the month in which you plant those saplings that determines which tree you get for your Webkinz house.
 
And, on a side note, we are still getting reports of there being problems with May's Flowering Fringe Tree.  There appears to be a glitch in the programming that is causing the tree to get "stuck" the moment it is placed in a yard.  Hopefully Ganz will correct this error soon.

  • Caring Valley Tree - There's a new tree coming to the Caring Valley.  Members entering the Caring Valley code off of specially tagged Caring Valley Webkinz, and planting the required saplings in June, will receive a Magic Maple Tree they can customize and display in their Webkinz' yards.
  • Pearl Pup - The Pearl Pup is scheduled to debut at the Webkinz eStore on Monday.  This new Birthstone Webkinz will be available at the eStore every day in June.
