New Webkinz Pet of the Month Item -- Blooming Dandelion!

With an unexpected extended maintenance period, Webkinz World came back up this morning with a new Pet of the Month item! It's been some time since one has been added, so here is the Blooming Dandelion for you all to see.  The plant cycles through stages of growth when you click on it, with a smooth animation between each stage.  Here is a preview of three of the stages of growth!

Ganz has announced that the following items will be for sale at the Webkinz eStore (www.webkinzestore.com) on Surprise Saturday, March 7th:

The Bounding Big Top Cannon is being sold for the very first time today.  It is part of the Circus Theme, which is exclusive to the Webkinz eStore.  

 

The Skater Kat Replica is a copy of the famous Skater Kat Skateboard Trophy, from the retired Skater Kat arcade game.  Unlike the original, this item cannot be traded or sent via KinzPost.  Ganz has officially stated that "this replica will be availalbe for one day only, this year."

4 New Exclusives Added, 4 Older Exclusives Retired

With the unexpected maintenance this morning, it looks like Ganz added a few more items to Webkinz World. Thanks to webfamily and Kinz Queen for letting us know that one of the areas that seems to have gotten attention is the exclusives! We've got 4 new ones now in Webkinz World and they look great! Each one costs 15 tokens in the Wish Factory, and you have a chance to get them with your adoptions.

The Giant Gift Box is a storage container.  The Webkinz Day Countdown board goes on your wall and counts down the number of days until Webkinz Day.  We assume that once Webkinz Day comes this year, it will start the count over.  Unfortunately, the balloons in the graphic disappear when it is hung on a wall. Both the Bumper Car and the Running Shoe Racer vehicles can be driven.  It's great to see 4 exclusives added all at once!

UPDATE: We've just been been notified that the introduction of these 4 new exclusives has brought 4 older exclusives into retirement.  The Gold Safe, Neon Plant, Windmill and Stoplight Lamp are retired and no longer available in the Wish Factory or as exclusive adoption bonuses.

 

Also, those of you who have been hanging on to your Wish Tokens for a rainy day will be pleased to hear that Ganz has lowered the Token value of several Exclusive items from 15 Wish Tokens to 12 Wish Tokens.  They are the Ambulance, Antique Fashion Mirror, Antique Lamp Post, Back Country Outhouse, Dancing Zingoz, Dex Dangerous Space Fighter, Elephant Fountain, Farm Tractor, Giant Feather Chair, Giant Sandwich Table, Haunted Painting, Wading Pool, and Webkinz Theme Music Box.

Possible New Webkinz Item Discovered on Trading Card

 Thank you to Webkinz Insider member biophilia for sharing this picture with us of one of her Series 4 Trading Cards.  It appears to be a statue of Alyssa, the fairy, surrounded by small pink flowers.  Is this sticker an indication that Ganz is planning on adding a new fairy item to Webkinz World?  If/when Ganz releases any information, we'll let you know.

Balloons Appear on Webkinz Day Countdown Exclusives

When the new Webkinz Day Countdown Exclusive was added to Webkinz World last month, many members were disappointed that the item's graphic didn't inlcude the balloons it was shown with in the wShop preview.  Thank you to Webkinz Insider members lamb and legogrl, we know know why.  With six days left until Webkinz Day on April 29th, one balloon has appeared on the sign.  It appears that more balloons will show up on the sign as we get even closer to Webkinz Day.  As far as what, if anything, will happen to the sign on Webkinz Day itself, that is still a mystery.  Stay tuned for details.

The 4th Annual Webkinz Day has arrived in Webkinz World Asian Accounts! Webkinz Day is April 29th of every year, celebrating the launch of Webkinz World on April 29th, 2005.
 
This Webkinz Day, Ganz didn't disappoint, with a beautiful 4th Webkinz Day trophy! In the past, the Webkinz Day trophies have just been re-colored, but this is an all-new design sure to please all Webkinz fans!
 
For those with the Webkinz Day Countdown display, you'll notice that all the balloons have appeared, along with fireworks!

Medieval Bear Tapestry On Webkinz Day Superwheel!

Make sure that you log into your accounts on Webkinz Day, April 29th not just for your Webkinz Day gift, but also your spin on the Super Wheel! The prizes on the Super Wheel have been changed for this Webkinz Day and it now includes an item previously unavailable in Webkinz World -- The Medieval Bear Tapestry!

You may remember an article written by FIA in early March about some previously-unknown Medieval Items -- Possible New Medieval Items Discovered on Webkinz Newz.  The mystery of the Medieval Bear Tapestry spotted in those images has now been solved!
 
Many members have reported that the Medieval Tapestry has magically appeared in their docks, before spinning the Super Wheel.  At this point, we are unsure as to why.

Ganz to Change Kinz Post Status for Master Chef Trophy

As you may recall, a few weeks ago, a few of our members won the WebkinzNewz contest and were awarded the Master Chef Trophy in Webkinz World. One of the moderators on our Webkinz Forums, Cynalot, was one of the winners and found that she could not Kinz Post the trophy to one of her other Webkinz accounts.  She has corresponded with the Webkinz Creative Director and he has assured her that the Master Chef Trophy will be allowed to be sent through Kinz Post after the next maintenance of Webkinz World.

For those trophy collectors out there, this is great news as you'll be able to trade for one! (If you are lucky enough to find one, since there are only 10 known to exist in Webkinz World!)
