Ganz has announced a new contest on the Webkinz Newz site.  For this contest they want to see who can design the most creative Webkinz World Secret Recipe.  Entires will be accepted at the Webkinz Newz site on April 18th and April 19th.  Entries can either be drawn on a computer or hand-drawn and scanned into a computer.  For this contest, creativity is more important than drawing skill.  Five winners will be selected to receive rare Master Chef trophies, and they may even have their creations added to Webkinz World.  For complete contest details, please visit the contest section of the Webkinz Newz site: http://www.webkinznewz.com/wp-mu/tag/contest/

Ganz has announced that a new Webkinz Newz (www.webkinznewz.com) contest will be starting on May 2nd. Design a compact kitchen (small room, W Shop items only) for a chance to win a Chef Gazpacho Dinner Set (Chef Gazpacho’s Stove and 2 Chef Gazpacho Place Settings).

Last month Ganz released a special music video for April's Pet of the Month, the Alley Cat.  Now they have released a new music video for May's POTM, the Cocker Spaniel.  While customer reaction to both videos has been mixed, the question on many minds this evening is "What is the deal with that fireplace?"

 

The fireplace pictured in the video is not available in Webkinz World, but, as many of you know, this is not the first time it has been seen.  The exact same fireplace can also be spotted in the theme preview for the wShop's Dog Theme.  Customers have been wondering for a long time if/when Ganz is going to add that fireplace to Webkinz World.

 

Could the specific mention of the fireplace in the music video be an indication that it is going to be coming to Webkinz World soon?  At this point, there really isn't any way to know.  It is worth noting, however, that the picture in the video has clearly been edited, with the Dog lounging back in the chair to wave, and the Pet Special Food sitting on a table, so chances are that the fireplace was edited in too.  We will just have to wait and see what, if anything, Ganz decides to do with this item.

Ganz has announced that the Webkinz Griffin will be for sale at the Ganz eStore (www.ganzestore.com) on Wednesday, May 13th.  The Griffin House Tapestry will also be for sale.  And, don't forget that the Emerald Lab will be for sale the entire month of May.

 

 

In other Griffin-related news, Ganz made a cryptic announcement today regarding the Griffin Emblem Rug.  As you may remember, five Rugs were given out as prizes in the "Griffin Silly Story Contest".  The exact statement published by Ganz is, "Wondering about the Griffin Emblem Rug?  Keep your eyes on the Webkinz Newz after 9am -- you never know what might float by!"
