Webkinz Deluxe Membership Added to Webkinz World!

Thanks to RobKinz for letting us know that, after a brief maintenance last night, Ganz has added a "Deluxe Membership" to Webkinz World.  The Deluxe Membership comes in many flavors and each pricing level earns you different benefits.  The pricing ranges from $5/month all the way to $45 for an annual membership and you will receive different types of exclusives (both tradeable and non-tradeable), monthly "Ganz points(?)", extra activities, monthly gift boxes, and a special Kinz Chat zone for subscribing.  

At this point, we're assuming the "Ganz points" are related to the new ads we've been seeing in the eStore and that these Ganz points are not Kinz Cash in Webkinz World.

Webkinz Insider Member Shares Pictures of New Deluxe Membership

Thank you to Webkinz Insider member Addicted Mom for sharing these pictures with us of her newly upgraded Webkinz account.  Shortly after the Ganz eStore came back up from maintenance this morning, she purchased a Deluxe Membership.  Here we can see a picture of the Congratulations letter from Ganz, the Deluxe Gift Box, the Membership Hat (which cannot be KinzPosted), and the Deluxe Events activity tab.  Deluxe accounts also have a special "gold" zone on their phones, an option to change the color of the dock, and a monthy allotment of eStore points that can be used to purchase virtual items.

Deluxe Memberships Extend Webkinz World Account Expiration!

Thanks to Love'EmWebkinz for letting us know about the most recent update on WebkinzNewz. Ganz has addressed a question that many of our members have been asking -- If we have a Deluxe Membership, do we have to adopt Webkinz to keep our account from expiring?

We’ve received questions about how Deluxe Memberships work with account expiry. We are pleased to say that as long as you are a Deluxe Member, your account will not expire, even if you do not adopt another pet!
 
Right now the date on your Me and My Pets page will still show your pet’s current expiry, but rest assured your account will keep going! We are looking into changing the information on this page for Deluxe Members.
 
We hope this clears up any questions you have! Have fun!
 
This is great news for families (or groups of friends) that are considering the Deluxe Family Membership. All of the accounts will receive the benefits of Deluxe Membership and will have a membership to Webkinz World for $9 per year!

A couple of interesting bits of news surfaced regarding the new Deluxe memberships today:
 
  • Although it was not advertised as a feature, members who signed up for Deluxe accounts are discovering that they have one free Tropical Island vacation ticket waiting for them at the Travel Agency.  At this point we are not certain if this was done on purpose or if it is a system glitch.
  • For some reason, a handful of WI members who signed up for individual Deluxe accounts have recieved more than one Deluxe Giftbox with a second set of gifts.  Thank you to WI member splish-splash for this picture from her account of her two Rollercoasters.
 
UPDATE, April 10th:  We are receiving widespread reports this morning of members with Deluxe Memberships getting extra Deluxe Giftboxes on their accounts.

It appears that Ganz has decided to continue with racing-themed clothing for the exclusive Deluxe Membership gifts by going with a Racing Jacket for May.
 
 
 
 
 

Ganz Removes One Month Deluxe Membership Option from eStore

When the "Deluxe Membership" was added to the Ganz eStore earlier this month, one of the options available for purchase was a "One-Month Membership".  This was the smallest, and at a cost of only $5.00 US, was the least expensive membership choice.  As of this week, the One Month-Membership option is no longer available.  Ganz has removed it from the eStore and replaced it with a "Three-Month Membership" which costs $15.00 US.  For complete details, please visit the Ganz eStore (https://www.ganzestore.com/membershipcategory).
 
 

May 1st Events in Webkinz World

May 1st is just around the corner, and there are a lot of things scheduled to happen in Webkinz World tomorrow:
 
  • Pet of the Month Ribbons - On the 1st and 15th of every month, floating Pet of the Month ribbons come to Webkinz World.  Click on a ribbon to get a chocolate version to feed to your Webkinz.
  • Cocker Spaniel POTM - It's a new month, and there's a new Pet of the Month.  For May, it's the Webkinz Cocker Spaniel.  Adopt a new Webkinz Cocker Spaniel any day this month to recieve a special POTM gift.
  • Webkinz ExtravaGANZa - This year's Webkinz ExtravaGANZa is scheduled to run at participating Webkinz retailers from May 1st to May 3rd.  Check with your local store to see what events they may have planned to celebrate Webkinz World's fourth anniversary.
  • Deluxe Membership Gifts - Those of you who have signed up for Deluxe Memberships will receive a new Deluxe Gift Box this month.  This May's special clothing item is expected to be a new Racing Jacket.
  • Caring Valley Tree - Now that May is here, there is a new tree in the Caring Valley.  Members entering the Caring Valley code off of specially tagged Caring Valley Webkinz will receive a Flowering Fringe Tree they can customize and display in their Webkinz' yards. 
  • Emerald Lab - The Emerald Lab is scheduled to debut at the Webkinz eStore on Friday.  

No May Gifts or May eStore Points Yet for April Deluxe Accounts

webkinz cheatsThis weekend the Webkinz Insider forum has been flooded with posts from members who signed up for a Webkinz Deluxe Membership at the Ganz eStore in April but who have not yet received their prizes or eStore points for the month of May.  On Friday we learned that the prizes and points were programmed to be awarded on the monthly anniversary of signing up for the Deluxe Membership (click here for article), not on the first of the month, as most had expected.
 
However, many of our members who signed up for a Deluxe Membership did so on the first day the memberships were available, April 2nd, and they have not received their gifts either.  So, for those of you who are wondering about your gifts, don't worry, you are not alone.  Hopefully the programmers at Ganz will be able to sort all of this out when they get back to work on Monday.
 
NOTE:  We have received reports from a handful of members who signed up for a Deluxe Membership in the last couple days of April who received the May gift box (with the Racing Jacket) instead of the April gift box (with the Racing Helmet).  It appears the programmers still have some "debugging" to do with the Deluxe Membership program.
 
UPDATE (Monday Morning):  We have started receiving reports of the May eStore points, but not Gifts, being added to some Deluxe Memberships.  

Status of Webkinz Deluxe Membership Accounts Reviewed *UPDATE*

webkinz cheatsOver the past week, our forum has been flooded with posts from members trying to figure out what is going on with their Webkinz Deluxe Memberships.  As the Deluxe Membership feature enters its second month, those who had paid for the Membership are discovering that there are some big glitches that need to be worked out.  Reports from Ganz are that the programmers are hard at work on all of the issues.
 
Here is a summary of the problems customers have been experiencing, and what we know about them.  Remember, Ganz has announced that the monthly eStore points and Gift Boxes are programmed to show up on an account's monthly anniversary, not on the first of the month.  If your monthly anniversary hasn't yet passed, you still need to wait for your Points and Boxes.
 
Missing eStore Points:  Reports are that the eStore points have started showing up on accounts.
 
Expiring Memberships:  Reports are that accounts that had expired, despite having been renewed, once again have access to Deluxe features.
 
Missing May Gift Boxes:  So far, no one who signed up for a Deluxe account in April has reported on receiving a Gift Box in May.  At this point the May Gift Boxes have only been awarded to new and renewed accounts.

UPDATE (Thursday Morning):  Thank you to all of the members who let us know that the May Gift Boxes have appeared on their accounts.  We are also hearing that, along with the Gift Box, these members are getting Vacation Tickets in the Travel Agency and, on the individual Deluxe accounts, another Rollercoaster!

Deluxe Advantage gives members discount eStore items

Thanks to our member KinzIs4BigKidz2, we have news about Deluxe Memberships and a new pricing for items in the eStore for people with Deluxe Memberships.  It appears that Ganz is now giving discount pricing to Deluxe Members on certain items in the eStore.
