Due to a glitch with the 2007 Spring Gift Boxes, some of our members were able to get a sneak peek at the 2008 Spring Gifts. We're not exactly sure why this is happening, but it appears that every 2007 Spring Gift Box that has been opened since the maintenance on Thursday morning has contained the new 2008 gift items.

Because of this, we are able to report to you that this year's Gift Box will contain Chocolate Eggs, a Tulip Planter, and Spring Celebration Shoes!

The Chocolate Eggs also made an appearance in the 2006 and 2007 Gift Boxes and are the prize being awarded during the current Spring Fest celebration. The Spring Celebration Shoes are a brand new item that has never been seen in Webkinz World before! Here is a pic of Uppies' Polar Bear, Nick, sporting the 2008 shoes as well as the 2007 Fuzzy Pink Bunny Ears. Be Careful Nick, those are eggshells!

We don't yet know if this change to the 2007 Gift Boxes was an intentional move by Ganz, or if it was a simply a programming mistake. Based on member reports, this is the only past holiday box that has been affected. Members who still have these boxes in their docks may want to hang on to them until this is sorted out. As soon as we learn more, we will be sure to let you know.

The long awaiting Springfest celebration is now underway in Webkinz World!  Decorated eggs have been spotted floating around.  Thanks to richgirl5356 for providing the following photograph of an egg floating across her pool table.

If you spot an egg, be sure to click on it!  You will be rewarded with some delicious Chocolate Eggs as shown below!

As we've all been anticipating, WebkinzInsider.com's 1st Birthday Bash will take place in just a few short days.  The Grand Prize items which have previously been revealed will be given away by random drawing at 8:00 pm EST on Sunday, March 23rd.  The names of the Grand Prize winners of the retired Elephant Statue, retired Blue Dragster, retired Holiday Tubby Tummies Bear and the Space Shuttle will be posted here on the front page so be sure to check here to see if you are a lucky winner!  In order to be in the drawing, you must be an active, registered member of our forum so be sure to sign up if you haven't already if you would like a shot at these awesome prizes.

During last night's updating, Ganz also released some new, never-before-seen food recipes in Webkinz World.  An Administrator on our forum, COWS4YOU, received the new Monstrosoupy recipe from a Series 2 Trading Card code late last evening.  Another forum user, AgentLucy, just received the Slimescraper recipe item during a Lil Kinz adoption!  Here are photos of both of the new items for your viewing pleasure:
