Some of you may remember the front page article back on December 14th where we reported about WI member KLDKinzMom being the first person to find the completely unannounced, and previously unknown Webkinz Schnauzer. A store in her area had recieved them by mistake in a box marked "Black Fresian". Since this new Webkinz was unknown, KLDKinzMom checked with Ganz first before adopting and was told to wait until January 23rd. Now that the day has arrived, we have virtual in-game pictures of "Maxine" to share with you. Here is Maxine riding around in her Pet Specific Item, the Schnauzer Jalopy and relaxing in her new Condo Theme bed:

For a few hours earlier this afternoon, our members with accounts set on the Asian Time Zone were treated to a little "Winter Fest Rewind". We have all been looking forward to the start of this year's Winter Fest on the 26th, but on these accounts the Snowflakes started flying a couple of days early. Not only are they early, but they are giving out last year's prizes! In addition to the previously reported changes in Webkinz World this morning, we are also pleased to announce that a member of our forum, AChip, has solved a new recipe! The recipe is called Shabloomers and can be made with the following items: - Appliance = Stove
- Sunflower Seeds
- Fudge
- Corn Flakes

Those of you who were hanging out in Webkinz World late last night may have noticed that there was a brief shut down for maintenance earlier than usual. When Webkinz World came back up, there were several changes. These changes include a brand new theme in the W shop, a new game in the Arcade, a new "look" for the Clubhouse, the removal of the remaining Christmas items, and the possible removal of the Ice Cream Tree and the Antique Bathroom Sink.
New Theme in the W-Shop: Now our Webbies can decorate their homes in the latest modern style with the "Condo" theme. Lots of lime green tones and fancy art work will have your pets feeling like they are living the High Life.

A series of odd incidents have caused concern and dismay throughout Webkinz World.
Miss Isabella, a charming charcoal cat, spent a pleasant afternoon organizing her prized clown doll collection into rattan toy boxes. She reports that she jumped into the kitchen to get a snack. When she returned, the entire storage room had simply disappeared.
“The toy boxes, the walls, the floors, everything,” she told me. “It was as if it had never existed.”
Miss Isabella copes with her disappointment by taking long naps by the fireplace. Every day, she hopes, she will awaken to find her storage room returned to her.
