Zingoz Bounce N Burst Tutorial - Part 2 - Point Scale & Strategies Print E-mail
Written by Hamlet

Each level gives points for four things: bubbles burst, shelves burst, time remaining and a level completion bonus. The level completion bonus is the same every game. The level bonus for passing level 1 is 90 points (no matter how much time it takes to get through). For each additional level, the bonus is increased 40 points:

Zingoz Bounce N Burst Tutorial - Part 1 - With Pictures Print E-mail

Bounce N Burst is one of my favorite games if I want to earn some cash and trophies. In around 15 minutes, I can typically win around 150 kinz cash and win a trophy which I could sell for 100 kinz cash (or trade to other users). 250 kinzcash in 15 minutes is 1000 in an hour and around 16 per minute (the average game in Webkinz World yields between 8 and 10 kc per minute – stay tuned for a post about the economy of game playing).

One thing that confounded me about Bounce N Burst is the high scores list. I felt I was playing the game as well as could be played (bursting the bubbles quickly and making it through the game without dying), and I couldn’t figure out why my score was so far off of the high score.
I have since found the reason. First, there are some people who are cheating, getting scores that are outside the maximum possible. They are somehow exploiting a flaw in webkinz world, and getting themselves to the high score list (and I have vented my frustrations in other places in this forum on this matter). Later in this post, you can see what the absolute maximum theoretical score that can be achieved in this game – as well as likely maximum score (more later).

Before I get into the commentary on Bounce N Burst, there are also two other things to note. First, the tips to getting a trophy differ from the tips to getting a high score. This is the same in a number of the games, where you have to take more risks to get a high score (Zacky’s Quest and Zingoz Pop are examples of games that require advanced strategy and risk to get a high score).

Webkinz Checkers Tutorial - $2700 Kinz Cash Per Hour - With Videos Print E-mail
Written by Justin

In my Economy of Games discussion, I pointed out how most games gave out around 10 - 15 kc per minute, with some giving out slightly more, and some slightly less.

UNI pointed out that you can win a lot on checkers - suggesting an average of 60 in 90 seconds (45 per minute).

So, I gave it a go, and found that I could often win the game on the hard level between 1 and 2 minutes, with an average game coming in around 90 seconds.

During my tests, I did find that there were some games that I made a wrong move, or the computer did not do what I wanted, and the games took several minutes to win (greatly reducing the average per minute). Still, as I got so I could recognize my strategy better, I found that more often than not, I could win at the pace mentioned above - making this a very profitable game. And on the games when it was obvious that the strategy was not working, I found that if I intentionally died, I could still finish the game in under a minute and get 15 kc (which is still better than most of the games in the arcade).

Default Cash Per Minute - The Economy of Games Print E-mail
Written by Hamlet
Sunday, 09 September 2007

There are a number of posts on this and other forums where people ask which games pay the most money. Most of the answers are anecdotal, where people say that they earn a lot of cash quickly on a certain game - but most don't provide a useful comparison.

So, I took a somewhat scientific approach - or at least documented my scores.

When I first started doing this (and there are some other posts on this forum that have my preliminary results), I played 2 or 3 games, and then figured out the average cost per minute from those games. The problem with that was that my skills biased the results in some of the games to a large degree. For example, of the entire course of an operation gumball game, I can get over 100,000 points - half of those points come in the last 10 levels with the other half in the first 20 levels. If I just averaged my first 20 levels, the average wouldn't be as high.

So, I started thinking that I should document how much cash you can win in the first minute of game play, the first five minutes of game play, ten minutes, fifteen minutes, and an entire game. Most of the games take at least 5 minutes to play, but there are a few that can be played much quicker (Wacky Zingoz, for example, only takes about a minute to play). So, in the case of games that I cannot make last 5 minutes, I played several times in a row to give an adequate comparison.

[ GUIDE ] Polar Plunge Trophy - With 3 Videos Print E-mail

I wanted to start a thread about the Polar Plunge Trophy on the new course!

When you finish the game, you have a random chance to win a trophy (I have found about 1 in 3 - but that is not statistically solid).

I made it through while recording it and put the video on YouTube. This run includes a trophy:
