The Lionfish is coming to Webkinz World in August, and now we know what the Pet Specific Item and Pet Special Food for this new pet are.  The Lionfish will come with an Underwater Fireplace and Two-Prong Prawn Kabobs.

WI Members Report Faulty Webkinz Caring Valley Tags

Lately in our Webkinz Insider forum, we've seen scattered reports of members receiving Caring Valley tags with unusable sample codes on them.  As these reports have increased and we now have images of the faulty codes, we solicited Ganz for information on what these users should do to get new, working codes.
 
Faulty Caring Valley Code
 
If you receive one of the faulty Caring Valley tags, which will contain the word "SAMPLE" plus a number after it, you should mail the tag directly to Ganz at the following address:

Simply include the tag, the store purchased at, and an email address at which Ganz can send the new code.
 
According to Ganz, these tags are part of the quality assurance program and appropriate parties have been notified of the issue.

Webkinz Insider Member Buys Unannounced Webkinz Rooster!!

As many of you Webkinz Insider fans and members know, from time to time our users stumble upon unannounced Webkinz at their local retail stores. Usually, these were mistakenly shipped early by Ganz, and our members know all of the new Webkinz coming out so they know a new one when they see it! In the past, our members have found the unannounced Webkinz Spotted Turtle, unannounced Webkinz Schnauzer, unannounced Webkinz Grey Arabian, and a number of unannounced Lil' Kinz.

Today, we bring you news and pictures of the unannounced Webkinz Rooster from EllaBellaBoo99! Here are photos that she took of the Webkinz Rooster plush and the Webkinz tag -- clear proof that the Webkinz Rooster is coming to Webkinz World in the near future! How soon?  We're not sure, but we're going to make the assumption that the Webkinz Rooster is for September.

Bonus Gift on Expiring Deluxe Membership Policy Confirmed

Webkinz Deluxe LogoEver since Ganz changed the Deluxe Membership "gift date" to the first of the month for all Webkinz Deluxe members, our users have wondered what happens to those whose Deluxe Membership expires during a particular month -- do they still get the gift?
 
Thanks to @sammymc83 on Twitter (sammymc on our Webkinz Forum), we now know the answer to that question -- NO.  Her Deluxe Membership expires on August 9, and she received an e-mail today from Webkinz World that she had received her "final bonus gift". While no one could be sure what the policy would be, this is the correct and fair way to establish eligibilty for bonus gifts.
 
To clarify, the "Deluxe Bonus Gift" policy is:
  • Current Deluxe Bonus Gift awarded immediately when starting membership
  • Deluxe Bonus Gift awarded for every complete month after that
