Webkinz Insider Donors Badge Retires, New Donation Program For Philip!

 

Written by Justin, on April 23, 2008 Views 767     Many of you may remember earlier this month, a "Bingoz Coupon raffle" was held to collect coupons for a brave young man named Philip, who is fighting a rare form of cancer.  He was in a story featured on The Early Show on CBS yesterday! We here at Webkinz Insider have been inspired by this young boy and his family who have given up everything to help pay for medical costs to treat his condition.  As such, we are redirecting all of our donations through May 31st directly to Philip and his family.  We're hoping that this small gesture can make a big difference in their lives! We have retired the "W Donors" badge, and have introduced a new badge for donations to Philip and his family! It's a Webkinz Lion with the WI logo on it! We chose the lion because lions are courageous, just like Philip and it also happens to be Philip's first Webkinz! Ohceee This is great. I couldn't donate much, because I am helping pay my fathers medical bills, but I was able to donate something. As a nurse, I know how hard it is for people to come up with the money to keep their family members well. WI, kudos to you, you are doing an awesome thing. I was away during the great bingoz event. I was sorry I missed it and glad to see there was a way I could help out.  I have a friend who had a daughter who was a transplant patient. PREVENT CANCER when I heard about Phillip,I kinda remembered a sad story in my neighbourhood.Well...2.1:One of my bff's was adopted from china.Her adoptive mom siddenly had back pains and went in for a check up.Soon they found out that she had bone cancer.She died on my sisters birthday and my bff really misses her.I do too.And for mothers day she gives her crafts to her dad's girlfriend and her gramndma.2:Recentley a girl who used to go to our school had a heart transplant.She had blood cancer.The reason she is having her transplant is because 2 of her tissuse in her heart are dying.Its really sad.Go phill!   » Report this comment to administrator » Reply to this comment...
