BREAKING NEWS: Curio Shop Future Information No Longer Available! Print E-mail

I'm sorry to let everyone know the bad news, but I've confirmed with Ganz that the Curio Shop lists are fully-protected now by the Webkinz servers and can no longer be accessed in advance as they have been over the past year.

Accordingly, our WI Curio Shop tool is likely to be inaccurate until I am able to rework it to give some advance information, as best we can here at WI.  Any historical information prior to February 20th is still accurate, but any future information or rare items and CSO items is most probably incorrect.

It is disappointing to all of us, but we'll do our best to figure something out for all of you!

Bummer! I find it interesting that Ganz has a problem with customer service.
Why would it matter if we knew the rare items schedule? It's not like it costs
Ganz anything! And why the high price for some of the items. It is nuts! I
don't understand the need for secrecy. They are really paranoid. Thanks for
doing all you do at Insider. You all are terrific.

This is really really really bad news. Why is Ganz being so ornery? Do they
really want everyone logging in every hour? Don't they have enough unfixed
problems? And, incidentally, every time I've tried to get into the Curio Shop
today, it doesn't load. I've waited as long as 15 minutes, but no go. This is
really down and dirty mean.

I can't believe it, I look everyday for what is available at the curio shop. I
need the nile sofa. I have specific items I'm waiting for. At this rate I
won't be able to get the sofa. I don't have time to check the curio shop every
hour on the hour. Hope you guys can come of with something. Love this site,

I think it's really too bad that we can no longer see the curio shop info....but
I think it's even worse how terribly people are acting on the person's website
whom has informed them of so many webkinz events and information far before Ganz
would have!! Let's not forget your beating up the guy who has been helping you

That is very disheartening, but thank you Insider for all you have done. It has
been a great service and maybe something can be figured out. I loved having the
knowledge of rares, so that I could plan on being in the shop at a specific
time. I just don't understand why it hurts Ganz to let us have just a bit of
information a day early. Oh well, I am not in charge so will live with it the
way it is.
Again, Justin, thank you and all your crew for helping make Webkinz
and Webkinz Insider fun places to be.

I left Ganz a not-so-happy comment about this. I mean, come on! We have to put
up with lots of glitches and maintenances... and we deal with that. We have to
deal with not being able to rename our rooms because of their awful filter. Now
they're just being ridiculous... this is something they DO have control over.
What problems does it cause them?? Are they just wanting us to spend 24/7 on
the site? Yeah, like that will help their glitches. GRRRRR.

Asian TIme Zones are an amazing thing, WI... With everyone logging on more, it
looks like some more servers are going to need to be bought, and who knows? To
pay for that may drive up the costs of Webkinz, possibly. (the stuffed animals)
But on the other hand, should we have even been looking inside Ganz's servers
anyway to find the rare schedule? Just an idea.

I am extremely disappointed with Ganz and this game. I have poured countless
hours into the game, and I tolerate all of the glitches, losing items from my
dock at random, the abominable customer service, the maintenance interruptions
that achieve seemingly nothing, the inability to name our rooms - and everything
else, I deal with it like the rest of us! Now they take away the one item that
keeps me in this game, the ability to finish my rare themes without having to
check the curio shop (which is *surprisingly* not working at the moment) every
hour. For the first time I'm considering quitting this game for good. If you're
as outraged as I am about this nonsense call them and tell them how you feel
about this.

Heyy, How about there are a few appointed people, and they each get a day, or
even an hour of the day, when they are not at school/work etc.
At this point in
time, that person records at exactly the hour, our 5 minutes after (so they can
have some time) what is in the shop.
That way, we know for sure.
and these
people should be trusted people.
Its a start for now!
