The latest update to Webkinz World has brought us even more news!
Are you a fan of the Cat Theme or the Dog Theme in the W-Shop? One of these two themes will be retiring soon. To help decide which theme should leave, be sure to vote in the survey which is scheduled to appear in Webkinz World on Monday.
Do you like to spin the Wheel of Yum? From May 17th to May 24th you will have the chance to spin the W.O.Y. once a day, every day. Be sure to check the Hourly Event Schedule each day so you don't miss out.
Ganz will officially kick off a new Webkinz Cares program on June 1st. As we mentioned before, the purpose of this program is to raise money for the Webkinz Foundation which will donate the money to childrens' causes. Webkinz with these special tags will only be available at Walgreens stores. You can read the official statement from Ganz about this program here: http://www.ganz.com/Webkinz_foundation/index.html
Where did the Trade Room go? Unfortunately, we can't yet answer this question. On Friday night, the Webkinz World news story about the Trade Room, and the Trade Room itself, both disappeared. We can only assume that Ganz has temporarily removed this feature so they can make it even better.
The surprises in Webkinz World just keep popping up today! We can now report that the Trading Room in the Clubhouse is open. Here's a picture of my Fluffy testing out one of the new Trade Tables.
The Clubhouse Trade Rooms seem to be very crowded this morning, and many members are having trouble completing trades. Hopefully as things calm down more of our members will be able to test out this new area. Thank you to PofNatey for these pictures of successful trade on his account:
Do you have questions about what your items might be worth? Come on in and take a look at the Webkinz Insider Gift Exchange Value Guide (WIGEV for short). Our staff has carefully assembled a list of all items in Webkinz World and their relative values. This guide can be a great help in determining if the trade you are considering is fair or not. Ms.Webkinz, a member in our forum, has shared a very interesting discovery with us. This week she purchased a Lil Kinz Cocker Spaniel that had two tags. In addition to the regular tag that comes with all Webkinz, there was also a red "Webkinz Cares" tag attached to the plushie.
According to the tag, which comes with a feature code, some of the money made on the sale of the Webkinz goes toward the "Webkinz Foundation" which in turn donates money to the welfare, health, and safety of children. The tag also says that the enclosed feature code is for a "Special Online Gift" in appreciation for the support. It appears that the codes for these tags have not yet been programmed into the Webkinz system because Ms.Webkinz has been getting an error message that says the "Feature Code does not exist".
We don't yet know exactly what the "Webkinz Foundation" is, or what the "Special Online Gifts" are. As soon as we are able to learn more of the details about this exciting promotion, we will report them to you.
According to the Webkinz Guide's chapter on the Webkinz Stadium, we should be expecting some new competitions to arrive in Webkinz World. In addition to the Beauty contest that has already been in the Stadium, it appears that there are going to be five other events: cooking, inventing, running races, high jumps, and swim meets.
We don't yet know when these new competitions are expected to debut in Webkinz World. If you wish to have your Webkinz compete, start catching up in your Kinzville Academy classes now. Remember, it's the skills your Webkinz learns in the Academy that affects how they will perform in the Competition. Good luck everyone!
Thank you to ClaraZ25 for being the first member to post about this news in the forum.
