We've also been able to confirm an official Ganz image of the virtual rendition of the July Webkinz. Again, these are the Webkinz Toco Toucan, the Webkinz Spotted Leopard, the Webkinz Crocodile, the Webkinz Rottweiler and the Lil' Kinz Black & White Cheeky Dog!
Thank you to all of our members who voted in the Dog Theme vs. Cat Theme contest last week. While we can't predict how the voting on the poll in Webkinz World went, we can tell you that according to the votes from our members, the Dog Theme is preferred over the Cat Theme by 55% to 45%.

Before the introduction of the Trade Room, members negotiating trades in the Clubhouse had to worry whether or not the other person would send their items. The brand new Trade Tables, which allow both members to send at the exact same time, have taken care of that problem.
Unfortunately, there is no safeguard in place to make sure that the trade you are making is a fair trade. Several of our moderators have spent the morning testing out the Trade Rooms and have discovered an alarming pattern of traders offering food and small W-Shop items in exchange for valuable rare items.
The message we would like to send to all of our readers is this: If you wish to try out the WW Trade Room, start trading with items that you can easily replace rather than your best treasures. This room is not designed as a place to score the rarest retired WW item. It is a place to make WW friends and have fun swapping little items.

As many of you have noticed, there is a new survey in Webkinz World. It looks like Ganz is planning on retiring one of the older themes from the W-Shop and they have asked Webkinz World members to help them choose.
Here on Webkinz Insider, we have decided to run a contest that will mirror the survey in Webkinz World. However, unlike the WW survey, we are asking you which theme you think Ganz should keep. Vote carefully, the choice you make may end up determining your prize.
Two winners will be randomly selected from the votes cast. One member from the Dog votes will win a Webkinz Golden Retriever and one member from the Cat votes will win a Webkinz Black Cat. The contest will run for one week, from Tuesday, May 20th through Monday, May 26th. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 27th.
We're not sure when it happened, but the virtual graphics for the Samoyed dog in Webkinz World appear to have been updated recently with an extra curly tail and smooth cheeks. Thank you to Mariko, a member of our forum, for calling this change to our attention.

Are you a fan of the Cat Theme or the Dog Theme in the W-Shop? One of these two themes will be retiring soon. To help decide which theme should leave, be sure to vote in the survey which is scheduled to appear in Webkinz World on Monday.
Do you like to spin the Wheel of Yum? From May 17th to May 24th you will have the chance to spin the W.O.Y. once a day, every day. Be sure to check the Hourly Event Schedule each day so you don't miss out.
Ganz will officially kick off a new Webkinz Cares program on June 1st. As we mentioned before, the purpose of this program is to raise money for the Webkinz Foundation which will donate the money to childrens' causes. Where did the Trade Room go? Unfortunately, we can't yet answer this question. On Friday night, the Webkinz World news story about the Trade Room, and the Trade Room itself, both disappeared. We can only assume that Ganz has temporarily removed this feature so they can make it even better.
A member of our forum, dash1253, was the first to point out to us an error on the Gecko's Webkinz catalog entry. The Gecko's Pet Specific Item is noted as the Loungin' Lizard Chair, which is consistent with the item received at adoption. However, the photo in the catalog today showed a Spotted Television as shown below. Could it possibly be the Spotted Leopard's upcoming PSI? Only time will tell!
The surprises in Webkinz World just keep popping up today! We can now report that the Trading Room in the Clubhouse is open. Here's a picture of my Fluffy testing out one of the new Trade Tables.
