Webkinz Insider continues to bring you the latest breaking news on Webkinz arrivals. Today we can report that both the Lil Kinz Black Poodle and the Lil Kinz Chicken have been adopted by members in our forum. Thank you to mom2tc and dpac5 for sharing these pictures with us.
And, as many of you have noticed, there is a new Cooking class in the KinzVille Academy. In this Pet Talent Course, Webkinz learn how to make perfect pancakes topped with Maple Syrup. Yum!
Ganz has introduced a new Pet of the Month virtual item, the Balloon Blower! This new 'magical machine' blows up balloons and releases them into the room. Some balloons float away off the screen, while others deflate. It's a must have for your party-loving Webkinz! This month's Pet of the Month is the Panda, so if you are interested in obtaining the new Balloon Blower, be sure to track down a Panda to adopt!
As a follow up to our story last week about the adoption of the Rhino and the Lioness, we can now tell you that the Whimsy Dragon, Samoyed Dog, and the Gecko have also arrived in Webkinz World.
Late last night webguy88, a member of our forum, informed the staff that he had adopted all three animals. Here are the first in-game images of these new additions to his Webkinz family.
The Whimsy Dragon is shown with the Treasure Throne, the Samoyed Dog with the Frozen Backyard Pond, and the Gecko with the Loungin' Lizard Chair.
And, of course, each of these new Webkinz comes with their own special food: Flickering Flame Fajitas for the Dragon, Chewy Capon Con Carne for the Samoyed, and Sticky Spider Cider for the Gecko.
As we reported yesterday, there has been a major change in Webkinz World regarding what items can and cannot be sent via KinzPost. We're not certain if this is as the result of a glitch, or if it was an intentional change by Ganz programmers, but Wardrobe Boxes, Zangoz DiceKinz Packs, and most Holiday Gift Boxes can no longer be mailed. Superbed Boxes, Glam Bags, and regular DiceKinz Packs do not appear to have been affected by this change.
If you attempt to mail one of the affected items, your system will display the following message:
It is important to note that once the box is open, the items inside can still be mailed. The change has only been to the unopened boxes. So, if you were planning to send one of these "box" items to a friend, you may just need to adjust your shipment a little to get all of the items there.
While mailing restrictions may be a new thing for Webkinz World, they have always been a part of the world in which we live. Did you know that you can't mail Straw to Ireland? Or Color Copiers to Russia? And you're out of luck if you want to mail a "Musical" Card to a relative in Bulgaria or Trading Cards to a friend in Tunisia. This may not be much comfort to the Webkinz who had been planning to send out unopened boxes, but maybe it'll give them something to think about while they're in line at the KinzPost Office!
