I actually like the way it is written.

It is like "May you be fortunate to walk through rainbows"

It is like granting or wishing fortune on someone.

Is there something wrong with my grasp of English? I don't see anything wrong with the original wording. I"m with Rockermom on this one.

It is actually correct .. it says 'back in turn' .. which is fine in terms of grammer and syntax .. it does not say 'back in return' which would be repetitious, rendering one of the words redundant ... . it is just that you may not be used to that turn of phrase ..

The way it is worded is actually in question form. It is basically saying:

"May you be lucky enough?"

with a few other added words. I just checked via MS Word, and it had the little squiggly line under "turn", suggesting that I change the period to a question mark. The first two words of the second sentence WOULD pass you in an English exam, however, more times than not, people would switch the wording around just so it sounded a bit better.

The main "correction" I was looking for was in the first two words; changing the sentence from interrogative to declarative. But, I would have also liked to see it changed from "turn" to "return". "Turn" may be used in some context, but "return" would just be more fitting, IMO.

It can be changed, of course, but I like the ethereal, mysterious, genie-like language in it

lol, genie-like. I guess that genie talk overrules and is a bit cooler than the English language

Thanks for taking the time to reply, everyone.

MAYBE you WILL be lucky enough to receive the same reputation in return!
You need another verb, and I was always told that may and be were together!

I dunno...kind of sounds Chinese fortune-ish to me.
Like budda says "May you be lucky enough to receive the same 'karma' in return
