What exactly does the "ignore" button do? I dont have anyone on it, but what does it do?

First, I am actually glad that nobody knew the full use of the "ignore" button -- shows that we have nice people on this forum board who don't feel the need to use it on others.
It does more than what others have said Lindsay. I have used this a few times on other bulletin boards.
Besides blocking PMs, putting someone on "ignore" also means that you will never be bothered by seeing any of their posts again. So, you can avoid reading posts by people you consider rude/obnoxious/jerks/etc.
Just tried it with uclaluver22 (sorry buddy -- had to pick a guinea pig).
After putting on "ignore", uclaluver22's post here and everywhere else disappeared (for me) and was replaced by this message, "This message is hidden because uclaluver22 is on your ignore list".
Well, I just decided that uclaluver22 isn't such a bad person -- clicked on 'remove from ignore list' and bingo -- all of those posts reappeared to me again.
