You can usually get back in before the Main Page opens up in the morning by entering on a different route.
At the Main Page, click on FAQ or Customer Support or Bulletinz. The upper left of those pages has another 'enter here' display that usually opens up earlier than the Main Page.
Ouch! You should not have moved the pedestal that the trophy had been on. Now, it can't get unstuck because it would have to hang in the air where it had been before.
Try putting the same pedestal back where it was. If the trophy doesn't unstick after a few login/logouts then email Ganz. Under 'Customer Support' they have a standard form for you to fill out and the problem will get fixed in several days.
That's what I was afraid of the thing is, I don't know the exact spot where the pedestal used to be... I will try the customer support form, thank you.
It goes down every night at midnight KinzTime (EDST). It used to come back up again around 2am , but now it is usually 3 am or shortly after. This morning it was around 3:20 before it came back up.
For the people on the left coast it goes down at 9pm and back up around midnight!
I think it is taking longer because there are so many new accounts. Every night they add the new daily and hourly activities but they also run a maintenance program that 'unsticks' all the items that are stuck in doorways, or other places. I think with so many new people this is just taking longer and longer to do.
Just keep in mind WI never closes... we are open 24/7!
Right Katz! Couldn't have said it better. Webkinz usually opens back up at 3 am KT. When It closes, I come on here, well I am on here anyway...lol.
really? I didn't know that... I have a cash cow trophy that's been stuck outside my egypt room for weeks... I wonder if I put something in the square where it used to go? If it was on a trophy pedestal, and I moved the pedestal after the trophy got stuck, do you think that would mess it up
Conception, you have to call live support (you usually don't actually get them "live" - you have to leave a message, but they WILL call you back) and tell them what is stuck. Sometimes they can unstick it on the spot, but most times it will be added to the queue of things that get unstuck during the downtime maintenance. That is one of the reasons it goes down, in addition to updating the site. And yes, the other poster is right, that if you try to get in via the "backdoor" approach, you are just adding to the problems, likely prolonging when the entire site goes back up, plus you could run the risk of your own account getting messed up because if it's "in use" because you're on it, your own stuff may not get updated and some of your stuff could go missing or otherwise have problems.
I have found Ganz tech support to be VERY helpful when I have needed them. I encourage you to call them.
As for me, I live in the Central Time Zone and it goes down promptly at 11:00 p.m., and I would have to say 90 percent of the time, it's up right on the dot at 2:00 a.m., but it has been as late as 4:00, and quite a few times between 3:00 and 4:00. But most times, it actually is 2:00 a.m., if I happen to be up at that time and notice the time and remember to login. If you are a nocturnal person (who presumably doesn't have to endure yawning through school or work the next morning!), that can be a good time to come here and check the latest messages and see what's happening in the Curio Shop the next day. That's usually what I do is come here right after WW closes down and get caught up with the latest news, then either go to bed or move on to something else.
If you're consistently not able to log back in 'til 6:00 a.m. (in Central Time), I'd say something is wrong. You might want to make extra sure your cache is clear (with Webkinz windows completely closed) and even restart your PC if need be, just to be sure it's not reading old information on your computer. Sometimes unplugging the modem for five minutes and plugging it back in can help, too, because in many cases, that will reset the IP address, which could be hung up somewhere in the system.

Conception - If you contact Ganz as others have indicated, the location of the pedastal shouldn't matter. In our case our items have been returned to the dock. It did take several email, but eventually was fixed.
