please post if you agree with me that under your notifacations you should see if you should know if your thread has gotten a post.staff, this is for you and staff, please pm me if you will make it happen!:gwolf:
Hmmm, that IS a pretty good idea. UNLESS its a contest or a thread that is posted on a lot, then it would show a good bit of notifications when you click (unless you mean when you look it just counts the threads posted on not post on the thread if that makes sence.). But to solve that problem, you could just have a option on the top of your thread (only avalible to the poster) that you could select (kinda like subscribing) & choose for it to notify you lol this might be a little confusing, but it's a reasonable suggestion, maybe the staff will concider this.
However, what about people who own roleplays, or whoever makes the DCT? They'd be getting notifications like crazy, since so many people would post. Maybe if people had an option to have notifs for posts, and could select which threads they want to notifications to come with?
I'm not even sure if this is an option for vBulletin, but it's an idea.
I think this is a great idea :] As Ave and Gymnastics suggested, I think that it should be just ONE notification per thread saying that it recieved a post or multiple posts, not a separate notification for each post that it gets.
An option to turn this (or any) notifcation off would also be useful :]. (If it's even possible)
The only thing is, it isn't too hard to look under your threads to check if it recieves a post, or your CP. Still, this is definitely a good idea
You can subscribe to a thread where it will show in your user control panel when someone posts. This is a great way to see if any one replies to your posts.
If you are the thread starter, at the bottom, under all the icons, is a section labeled ADDITIONAL OPTION. The notifications options include email notifications, which if you select the drop-down menu, gives you the following options for email notifications:
