I just want to thank everyone that's posted a response so far! I'm glad to know it's not just me, no matter what the reason. I clean my cache regularly, and have spyware on my computer, and you guys may laugh, but I don't even know what limewire is (but I don't think I have it!) I do have a relatively old computer though, so maybe that's it. And I definitely notice it worsen at certain times of day, like late afternoon after school. And if it is the ads, I know that the advertising dollars are necessary, but maybe there's something that could be done to make them, and the site, run more smoothly. Anyway, I still love you, WI !! And thanks everyone for all your help!

I had the same problem with a sluggish computer, even after I had cleared the cache and run all of my spyware programs. I happened to be listening to the Kim Komando show and she was talking to a caller about the same thing. Following her advice, I downloaded a free registry cleaner called Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, installed and ran it and I was appalled at how many registry errors it found and cleaned up. Instant success. Now everytime I notice a slowdown I run this along with clearing my cache and it really seems to help. It might be worth a try...

I have that same problem, on my really bad computer, it takes forever for WI pages to load and HTTP errors come up a lot.
I probably need spybot or something, that sounds like a good idea.

yea, limewire was a huge problem on my computer.
It brought in TONS of viruses and stuff and I deleted it because of that and also after I found out that it was illegal.

Lol Alannaxo, your avatar is funny. The burger reminds me of a McDonalds burger. I don't like McDonalds. There's like, barely anything healthy there! Yet my brother loves it and so we go.
