Tell me what you think. We need a red/green light at the very top of the WI page and it should be red when WW is down and green when it's up and running. That way we don't have several threads about if it's down for just us or everyone. Then we'll also know when it comes back up.
Good thinking, but I agree with ginny19.
Your idea would be hard to constantly keep updating.
I also think that it is kind of unnecesary because it may cause the website to run slower.
The more add-ons you put, the longer it will take to load.
Plus, Im not too sure if V-Bulletin has the option to do this.
I was thinking instead of a green/red light, WI could just add a small text-box.
But it would still be very difficult to maintain.
Yes a red-green light at the top would be a good idea. I wish we could have one...
The problem is that Webkinz Insider and Webkinz World are not affiliated together. Here in Webkinz Insider, when WW is down, we are all in the same boat together, staff and members.
The way I find out if WW is down for everyone, is from those threads; and I'll post if WW is down for me too, or if I'm able to log on to WW. I see the other staff posting on those threads too. From those threads, that's how we find out if WW is back up also.
If there is a really unusual situation, you'll find a notice at the top of the forum page.
