I just had this idea about the possibility of a foodbank for webkinz food. Maybe new players need food to get their pets healthy, but spent all of hteir money on setting up their account; maybe they have a plague running in their account and all of their pets are not up to par health wise. There are any number of reasons that a player might need food.
On the other hand there are players like me who garden and end up with a ton of food that they can't get through. I think it would be awesome to have a place where these players could donate their food for either contests or for members who are truly in need on their accounts. I know that contests for food are allowed, but I don't always have time to think about something like that, but it woudl be easy enough to send three strawberries to a generic account and let others benefit from it.
Great idea, but here's what FIA said to me.
"Oh, boy. While I think it's a nice idea, I'm afraid that it would be a nightmare to manage. WI's official rule is that exchanges of items can only be negotiated in the Gift Exchange area. I'm afraid that "food bank" idea would be too much trouble."
