this is totally true, for WI and the real world. i don't really know where i stand, but i still give much respect for all the different people and religions around me, cause that's what i do. everyone should, though.
BTW, i believe in the big bang\evolution AND God creating the world, because who knows? He could've actually made a big bang...
What a precious thought I agree with you, maybe God did make a big bang . I do believe, I have to. My best friend passed away, so many special ones have. I need Heaven. A world without it means she is gone forever, she will never see her little son again (he was six months old when she died) and I will never be able to talk to my dear friend ever again. Death without Heaven is a bleak future for us all. When you lose someone who means the world to you, the pain of thinking of them as nothing but dust with no soul that lives on in another place is such an empty, tormenting feeling. There is little comfort to be found. When I look around this place, at all the magic of our planet-truly, the miracle of life all around with all the other planets turning lifelessly all around this one living, breathing orb...I feel like something special happened here.
But I don't begrudge anyone else having their own thoughts and feelings. The world is filled with wonderful variety and how dull it would be if everyone was the same. It would be like all the gardens of the world only having one color of flower. How boring it would be without the reds, yellows, blues. I enjoy all of you no matter how we disagree in opinions. You be you, and I will be me...and we'll all be happy as can be I would have a friend rather than an enemy any day.
I agree with you...for the most part. Except once I welcomed someone and they got all over my back saying "You want me to be Christian? I can be whatever I want!" All I had said was, "JFC welcomes you!" And then they Pmed me and said,"I don't believe in that $#!%!!!" That was very mean! They wouldnt leave me alone! they were just rude about it! They kept going on about that their beliefs were right and mine were wrong. Respect beliefs...but we cant let it get to that point!
I'm sorry that this happened to you, that was quite rude of them. Just remember, we're not all here to make you feel bad, just to be us. The main reason we're here anyways is to talk 'bout some squishy stuffed animals with s on their feet. I'm sure the rest of us would just take it as you were welcoming us on your club's behalf... maybe he/she was just having a bad day, though that isn't a very good excuse.
Hello, Webkinz Insider. I made this thread after some experiences I had in the past few days. Please read and consider the following:
I am a member of the club known as Religiless. We are a group of fun loving, considerate, intelligent, open, and respectful people who like to have our say in things. A fellow WI member, wowewe, came and paid us a visit to clear up some questions about those who are religious. She answered us respectfully and truthfully. Her visiting us gave me the idea to ask a question on the Jesus Freak thread.
I've stopped by a few times just to read the last page or two after seeing it on the top of the New Posts page. But then was the first time I actually posted. My question was if any of them believed in the 'big bang' or evelution, and the general response to the 'big bang' was NO. Evelution had some mixed reviews, but the overall answer was they believed in God creating the world and us.
However, back on Religiless, we support the theory of evelution, putting us on 'opposite ends of the poll'.
But this is not the main point of this thread.
I wrote this to remind everyone that WE ARE ALL PEOPLE AND WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT! Over on the Jesus Freak thread, I greeted with kind posts and people eager to share what they believed in. Over on our thread, I do my best to great anyone coming over with a question honestly and happily.
It doesn't matter if you are highly religious, not religious at all, or not really sure. We should embrace each other openly. My goal here on WI is to coexist with everyone. Let us be friends... let there be peace. Please, spread the welcome to all who come your way today.
It is important to respect other people whether we agree or disagree with them. And you are right, WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT! I haven't met one person who is JUST LIKE ME! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I agree! at times i think that having religion clubs, thread etc..etc....are not good because some people have very strong feelings about what they believe in and there could be some tension. But i really dont mind, we all have our opinions and that is all that matters
I think the best we can do is respect each other. My favorite two quotes are, "If only closed minds came with closed mouths," and "The last time politics mixed with religion people got burned at the stake." If you think about it though most religions have some differences, most believe in one God and also that we should also respect others. Sadly more wars were fought in the name of God then for any other reason. Respect is one we should share with everyone, since we would wish the same afforded to us.
Ahh, that's a lovely picture. What I find is interesting, though, is how there's a cross on it, as well as the Star of David.... I wonder if there's a symbol for nonbelief? That's a good question, I think. I'll go google it later.
Yes, exactly!! Everyone is a person, we are all the same
I just have to make a suggestion. I don't think there should be ANYTHING related to religion on WI. No clubs, thread, A/S. None. My two friends got in a bad fight over religion, and I am afraid that Religion scuffles are going to arise soon enough on WI...
yeah, i sort of agree. me and my friend got in a BIG fight over which religion was right, he started it though... i said bows to him to be funny cause he was wearing a Knight costume and he bit my head off!!! then we got in a big fight and then we are friends again... but we both know that we are different religions..
