Webkinz refuses to let me use my name on their website to name my rooms. I have a very common name (Shelly) but if you take off the first and last letter of my name you see why webkinz has flagged it. I know Webkinz is just trying to keep things safe for kids and I appreciate that but c'mon, surely you can acknowledge my name isn't evil and forbidden. Anybody else had their name denied?
correct me if i'm wrong but if a kid types "classroom", they aren't thinking of cussing but once someone denies it, then the kid may start searching to find the hidden naughtiness? doesn't that just encourage the same that they are trying to discourage? i can see saying no to obvious stuff but "spoon" and "buttons"? silliness. good thing i love webkinz! as a whole, they have an amazing website with so much positive worth.
i recently noticed on a webkinz tag that they are made in (or originate in) cheektowaga N.Y. and since i had just bought a spotted frog, i thought that "cheektowaga" would make an excellent name. of course that was denied due to being a location... so i named him after the town i live in instead.
