The nearest I can figure is that a 'pop-under' is an ad that you first see a shadow of the window and then you look down at your task bar and there is a little bar showing what it is. It doesn't 'pop-up' on your screen, it just kinda hides in your taskbar, waiting for you to click on it. I had a few of these today when I went to the forum earlier, but it has cleared up. Whatever you did, Justin, I think you fixed it! YAY!!! (We knew you would!)

Thank you Dixiecup! I did get that a couple of times yesterday and thought my grandson had pushed a button on my computer, lol! None today though, so it does look like it is fixed. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

All I have to say is FANTASTIC!!! Thanks so much Justin!!!

I'm sure you know what a pop-up is; an ad which pops up on your screen on top of the window you are currently in. A pop-under is the same, only it opens under the current screen. You will see it on your tool bar at the bottom as a second open window.

Thank you Justin for the fast response to this problem.. I have only begun presently to use firefox and I am happy with the problem. Pop unders are not a problem with firefox. Glad you are monitoring this problem... to you Justin..

We use nothing but Firefox here. Hubby dislikes IE....actually he dislikes ANYTHING made by Microsoft!

Firefox is fantastic. I have seen all the complaints about the ads from lots of WI members, but I have YET to see even ONE AD. Firefox has an add-on called Adblock that you can enable and it cuts them out completely. I think it may take a little while to work...I think once it's enabled and you see an ad, you have to do something to that ad to let Adblock know it's something that you don't want to see....From that point on, you will not see anymore ads from that particular company. However, there are many that it recognizes whether you tell it to or not.

I really recommend this for anyone....Especially for those with kids that "surf". Our son is very computer "savvy" for his young elementary school age. FF is the only browser we allow him to use because of it's blocking abilities.

If you use it, you have to remember to download their updates as they become available.

I use IE and I too have had that problem. I went to Internet Options and added a.tribalfusion.com to my blocked sites. I think it has stopped.

Thank you Justin. I guess it was you, not my computer savvy that made them stop.

Hmmm, I too had noticed these tribalfusion ads and wasn't sure the cause. I use Firefox and still got one this morning when I logged in. I normally go to the main page of WI when I log in and then come to the forum from there. I think the tribalfusion ad popped up when I went from main page to the forum. If there is a setting that I need to change on my computer to stop this can someone please post as the issue still is happening to me. THANKS!! Amy

If you come through the main page, you will get one pop-under ad every 16 hours. Are you seeing them more frequently?
