Default A Training Mode Button. ☻

Hi there!
I was thinking that when we are trying to get into the GE and we are making those non- fluff posts we should have a button or maybe a mode where it makes the sections that we aren't allowed to post in disappeared.
I know that would help my temptation.
What do you think?

That could work if you really don't want to post in those sections. But remember- just because those areas don't count toward your 50 posts, doesn't mean you can't post in those areas. You can still post in those sections, as long as you post in the other sections too.

This is a good idea, but I don't think its so good to 'hide' sections from the members.
Working your way to the GE is something you need to work on, not something that should be sectioned off like that.
On top of all that the applications for the GE are sorted through at random times.
Sometimes frequently and sometimes it takes a LONG time before they're looked at.
So if someone applied at the beginning they might now see the rest of the forum for weeks. xD

It also helps if you're making helpful posts not to be in the GE, but just to be helpful.
I think that maybe a little dot next to a good section to post in would be a good idea, but not making half the forum disappear for those that have applied.

I know we can post in those sections but for me I love to count but want to be in the GE.
So it would be better if that could vanish for awhile.

Well your 50 posts don't have to be one right after the other.
You can open the listing of forums that count towards your 50 posts and make it a plan to post there as often as you can and as helpful as you can.
Set yourself a goal and make it a point to introduce at least 1 new member a day, answer 1 helpful question a day... ect. In no time you'll have made 50 non-fluff posts and made members VERY happy because they've been helped.

I think that when they look at '50 non'fluff' posts, they also look at a lot of other things as well. I believe they look at how well you are familiar with the whole site, and how kind you are and how well you 'work' with others. The 50 posts, I believe are just one of the factors they take into consideration when evaluating gift trainees. I think they look at how well you follow rules also. (I don't thnk there are any problems with you, cheeky )
I know there are certain sections that are most helpful for counting toward non-fluff posts, but they are looking at more than just that.

I agree with Desty. It's not just the 50 non-fluff posts they are looking for. It's actually quite more, to be exact. They look at your cooperation with others, including how well you interact in threads, VM and PM, and they also look at how kind you are, and if you follow all the rules in your posts. (Such as refraining from text talk and always making sure you explain and are clear to said person.) So it's not just 50 posts that matter, it's also your kindness and helpfulness, along with how well you know the WI Forum and how well you can work with anyone of any type, not just certain people.

Yep Make me wonder how Price isn't in there already

Either way, I don't think that this would be very helpful. The only reason those sections don't count is because they involve quick answers and don't show much about you. You have to have your own good judgement to know to help others. This could help, definitely, but I'd guess that you in particular already doubtless have 50 non-fluff posts- it's just what Priceless has said that makes a big difference =)
