It could be a good thing, but it could be the opposite too. If you're really angry at someone, you could just "thumb down" some of their posts. I like the idea, but there are some negative things about it.
I do and dont like this idea because if someone had a good idea and things like that and too many people put thumbs down then there heart would be broken!!!!!! I like this idea because it would be very helpful!!!!!
Wouldnt it be cool if at the bottom of each post thier was a thumbs up and a thumbs down? I think so, it could be a way we could easily rate if a post is good or bad without saying something. Post if you like the idea.

I do like the idea, actually, and I think it might even discourage people from making ridiculous threads that just clog up space....but honestly, I think a public thumbs down rating would hurt people's feelings, because everyone has their own idea of what's important. And even though some threads are very weak, those topics are obviously important to the person who created the thread.
I recently had a crazy thought: Nothing I think we should actually implement here on WI, but just a funny thought that came to my mind, nonetheless:
There are times when I wish we would have different choices on the thread ratings--instead of the usual ones we have now, how about these choices: "Informative", "Helpful", "Ridiculous", "Why did I even bother clicking"?
