Default Re: Thumb up and down

It could be a good thing, but it could be the opposite too. If you're really angry at someone, you could just "thumb down" some of their posts. I like the idea, but there are some negative things about it.

I do like the idea, actually, and I think it might even discourage people from making ridiculous threads that just clog up space....but honestly, I think a public thumbs down rating would hurt people's feelings, because everyone has their own idea of what's important. And even though some threads are very weak, those topics are obviously important to the person who created the thread.

I recently had a crazy thought: Nothing I think we should actually implement here on WI, but just a funny thought that came to my mind, nonetheless:

There are times when I wish we would have different choices on the thread ratings--instead of the usual ones we have now, how about these choices: "Informative", "Helpful", "Ridiculous", "Why did I even bother clicking"?

What would make a post a "bad" post?

That's such a good question! Rep to you for being interested and considerate!

Anything rude is a bad post. In other words, any opinion that isn't stated respectfully.

And, without getting into too much detail, my personal opinion is that if a topic isn't WEBKINZ related, it really doesn't belong in any place other than OPEN MIKE.

But that's just my personal opinion.

We have moderators to decide all this, and I trust their judgement without question.

yes u do have a point so maybe their could be like a sideways thumb that means it was cool or good or something or a little helpful but not very helpful
