Default threads under different posts?

i was just wondering why when you make a thread, it goes under a different thread that has the same topic! like my thread that i posted that was called garden! it went under the thread called ummmm... (something something something(i don't remeber what its called)

The mods and Admins, feel that if a topic is similiar to another topic they combine the two, so that way we don't start another thread with the same topic. At least that's my opinion but I'm not sure.

I get it. It is because even though it isn't the same topic, it still has to do with the same thing. Such as when you put something under news, there could be something about new pets, or a new garden vegetable. Am I right?

the mods and adm will merge threads together that are of the same topic if there are so many of them. it is to help on space in the forums. this way it is easier to get other threads up and keep the other ones going instead of closing them.
