I absolutely love the fact that this site is for people of all ages...I would hate to see that change. I feel welcome wherever I go here, even in Open Mike where the majority are kids. They too, should be made to feel welcome wherever they go.
Well said Gingerytoo! I feel the same way! I just love how we all can be ageless here.
If you go back through the posts you will discover that early on, Justin contributed and stated this will not happen here. I think he's right, why would we want a 'segregated' atmosphere? It creates too much tension. I have 4 kids, sure I could go to them and get the 'OMG's, too, but at least I am listening to them. Life so quickly becomes 'the same old grind,' I like this youthful exhuberance and zest for life...Keep me here with the kids, thanks. It makes me feel young again.
I posted a few days ago, and pondered on the subject. I think that an adult only area would actually increase all the OMG posts.
I think that the adults on the site should be role models for the younger ones. I am a child, and I know that there are adults on this site that I strive to be like, and I think, while trying to be like them, I have made myself a decent member. So be a role model, don't hole yourself up in an adults only area.
