I have been noticing quite a few polls latelye that have not gone well. These are generally asking do you like a certain celeb, movie, book. These polls are fine, however, if you are asking people for their opinion, you have to be prepared to hear negative as well as positive. A lot of these polls end up as huge arguments with rude comments. While no one should be rude, or go out of their way to hurt other people's feelings, those making the polls shouldn't argue with everyone who disagrees. You asked the question, just be prepared that you might not get the answer you want.

You're right, if you post a poll asking if you like something, you should be prepared to hear people say they do not like it. If you don't wish to hear that, I suggest not making the thread. Otherwise, either don't post back to them, or post back kindly.
I've seen many people who say something rude like "EWW the Jonas Brothers are the ugliest freaks in the world!" or something like that. It's okay to say if you do/don't like something, but you need to say it in a nice way. Also, even if you say no offense, that'll probably make the other person even more offended. If you have something rude to say, say it in a nice way or just leave the thread. It's that simple. Think about what you're going to say before you post it.
I've been seeing lots of Twilight and Jonas Brothers related arguments... and if you are a say a Jonas Brothers fan then don't make a poll asking if you like the Jonas Brothers cause not everyone will agree with you and thats how the arguments start...
I agree, you should definitely be prepared to hear negative when posting polls. After all, during polls you should expect to get all types of opinions, otherwise it would not be a poll. This isn't to say that people should argue, but disagreeing on something is acceptable.
REP to you! (:
