Okay, I have yet another suggestion for WI that I'd like to share. Since there are still many members on WI that don't have the Deluxe Accounts, I had an idea, but I'm not sure whether it would be possible or not. I myself am one of the non-Deluxe account holders, and I was wondering if it was possible to have an option, or toggle to make the Deluxe Events and Rares disappear and reappear. The reason I say this, is because it would save the members without the special priviliges so much grief and jealousy. Our eyes may not help but wander, and when we see these we may become upset with ourselves or other people. That definitely wouldn't be a good thing. There's always a chance we may want a little peek every once in a while, or might convert. That's why I think we should also have an option to make it reappear, if we can make it disappear.
I'd love to hear any opinions on this idea, and I can't wait to see what you think about it!
This would not be technically possible, but that's beside the point.
I'm sure there are many people who have less, even much less than you do. You would not enjoy being the object of their envy and resentment. In the same way, there will always be people who will have more than you. Jealousy is an emotion that eats at you and leaves you empty inside. WW offers children a chance to learn to control this emotion.
The gracious response to people who have more than you is: "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!"
Thanks you two! I know it would be the polite thing to do, and sometimes it might be done as a cover up while we may truly still be feeling jealous. I totally get where you guys are coming from though!
While I think that you have a great idea, I know it is probably unlikely to happen. I think it is very sweet for your concerns of others and their feelings. Ganz must have a goal to increase the revenue and enhance the experiences of its members. (So they want you to see all that is available.)
As a parent, I love the site. And my kids have learned valuable experiences through their decisions, both good and bad. Like Webberlily, I also know that there are lessons to be learned on WW.
In the end, I can see their appreciation for the finer things that they would like to collect, and the compliments that they give to the others for their collections. We can't have everything and we don't expect to.
