Default Re: Stick to what you say. A thread with Point and Purpose

Aww, this is truly a great thread! I find it really hypocritical of people to not stick to what they say. It's just terrible to see someone turn around and do exactly what they said they never would. I'm glad you brought this point up, because I see it a lot in real life and on the forums. Everyone can learn from this.

Great point!

But if your teacher tells you to write on it, then shouldn't you? i mean, it's more of a what we should do and how we should do than what we are. Because no matter what, humans will make mistakes. I mean what i say, but i am human too so i can't always do everything right.

Of course, i do think we should try and not be hypocrites.

I can't say much more, I think you've said most all of it. Someone that says one thing and does another can't be trusted. Follow your own advice, simply put.

Another thing: The internet is a place to escape from peer pressure. Quite often, I see a person change their mind because no one else agrees with them. I find this sad. Again, don't say something if it's not true.

Thank you for taking the time to create this thread, you certainly proved a point and I don't feel reading it was a waste of time.

Wonderful thread, Van. I see these threads alot, and I would like to think the makers mean what they say, but do they always? Probably not. I hope this thread gets the attention of the future thread makers and it makes them make their threads more meaningful and with a purpose.

I agree! You never know if the person really means what they say when they post a helpful thread. In example, if you tell people not to judge people, then you shouldn't judge people.

vannie, this is awesome. it's like... you say to folow the rules, but you don't even do it yourself, what are you teaching the younger mebers of the site? and what kind of standards are you setting fo yourself?

i think a truly good person puts thought into what they're trying to say and don't just spit fire post, you should MEAN IT.
