That is such a good point... a lot of people say "be nicer to others," "follow the rules," and stuff like that, when they don't do that themselves. This is an extremely good point, and I'll definitely remember this thread and stick to what I say! Rep for you!

That is a great point. If you say something you do need to stick to what you said. Like one of my friends on another website, was on WI. She left me a welcome message on my welcome thread. It said follow the rules and all of that junk. Then she got banned. I think it was for spam. Anyway, I agree to that toatally.

You bring up a very good point, a very important point! This is especially true as a parent. I know that I can tell my kids whats what till I'm blue in the face, but what really matters, and what they will learn from and follow, is what I DO and how I ACT. That's why it's always better to watch a person, than listen to them, when you're trying to figure out what they are all about.

Thanks so much for posting this!

So not a waste of time (my time or yours). That was a really good read. Actually... it's so well said that I don't see any need to keep babbling like this.

Wonderful reminded Van Van! I'll definitely try harder to stick to the subject. This just backs up the saying, "It's a lot easier said then done." Which it is, you can say your not going to steal something your whole life, but when you see an item you really want and you know you'll never have enough money for it and the opportunity to steal it is right in front of you. The temptation is so great you go against what you've said all these years.

Not a waste of time - a minute of my life that I wouldn't take back. I am happy I read that. Because your right. If a person says - To be a good member you need to help people." and that person sits on the DCT all day fluff posting - who is that helping? I understand exactly what you are saying. REPS!

Great thread, van.
I do see a lot of those threads for post count or rep bars, but it does not benefit the reader.
And congrats to those of you who take the time to make such detailed threads!

EDIT:
Some threads like that are long, but they are just rambling on... Keep it to the point, and don't repeat unless you're referring to another part.

This was no means a waste of time! As my teacher says, if you have nothing nice or thoughtful to say, you should say nothing. When people make pointless threads (this is an example of a good thread) you can tell, they are typically preying on newer members or younger members for rep, and using the worthless thread to have an excuse to post. If they cannot contribute to the forum, they should not be wasting everyones time. Rep to you
