I'm curious, I know mine is kind of flasy, do you think I should change it?Both of my brothers have that problem, and I don't want to be thew cause of it happening to a member! Please someone PM me and let me know!
GreenPunk, I think your profile is fine Big flashy ones are what triggers seizures most of the time.
Cocolion, it's not just big flashy thing, it's any flashy things/lights/graphic. My daughter Angela(WhiteTerrierGrl here on WI) suffer from seizures and take medication to prevent them. Thank god she's not triggered by flashing things.
My neice who is 11 was just diganosed with seizures last week. She had a seizure out of the blue the last day of school that lasted 17 minutes. She had never had a seizure in her life. She's not even supposed to watch TV, play on the PC, play video games or anything with flashing anything. Her brain seizes all the time and any flashing thing of any kind (small or big) could send her into a seizure that she will never come out of. Her seizures are considered deadly. The Dr is now trying different meds to see which one(s) will control her seizures.
We also have a friend who's daughter is triggered by flashing things. Just like my niece she's can't do anything that involves flashing things. Shes not even allowed to go watch fireworks on the 4 of July because even tho shes on meds she could have a deadly seizure.
Gingerly, thanks for bring this to everyone attention. This should be a very strick rule. It could mean life or death for someone with this disorder.
