Default Re: Should WI have A "Thank you" section?

It might be a nice idea.
Isn't that was rep points are for - to thank someone?

Of course, that doesn't thank Ganz!
(This month, it would have been a really short thread! ROFL!)

Does anyone know if Ganz visits this site? There is so much info in here, they'd
be silly not to have someone checking out the complaints and suggestions, but I have no idea if that really takes place.

These kind of things never are as popular in the open forum although I have opened multiple threads for it...I might have to make another and see if it is popular...doubt it...
If I knew there was a thread like that, I would HAVE to be there every day. WI is full of members that need to be thanked. Thanked publicly, even if that's not why members are being so great to each other. That is an awesome idea i<3webkinz! Pm if you start 1, I will be right there!!

I think our concern as mods would be that if we got a lot of thank you threads, it could become a popularity contest.
That's true and I totally agree with you. I thought that it was needed since a lot of people just want to thank others for what they did.

I don't really think a "Thank You" section is neccasary. If someone has been extra sweet, kind, helpful, etc. etc. Then you can..1. Give them reputation points. 2. Thank them in a profile/PM message. And you can do that for staff as well..If we had a whole big section for just thank you's people might get upset that no one's putting them in there, and it just probably wouldn't work out..But you can always send your pesonal thanks to people anytime!!

I totally get what you're saying. I bet if we do that they would be honored!
