Default Rooms, yards, fences and some issues/ideas for them

I really wish that when you adopted a new pet that the screen that shows up when you add a new room would appear so that you had some control over where the new room was added. When I adopted my husky, I pretty much had to redesign my entire house to adjust the floorplan to make it make some sense because the new room was so randomly and poorly placed.

If there was a way to move rooms around that would be even more ideal. And being able to move the entrance on a room to somewhere other than right smack in the middle of the wall would be great!

And I also think that the ability to add floors would be awesome. I'd rather be able to use a set of centrally located stairs to go from one section of the house to another than have to walk through a bunch of rooms. I know you can use the map to jump from one room to another, but I don't think that visitors can do that if they come over and it takes forever to get from one room to the other end of the house.

Yards are great, but I do think that it is silly that you can only put the fence on certain sides, because the way my house is laid out makes the only sides you can put a fence on the same sides that actually connect to other rooms, so clearly putting a fence there is really pointless.

I have no idea if any of these things are even items that are fixable, but I do feel that a little tweaking could make the rooms a lot more user friendly.

I agree, that it would be nice to place each room, where we would like it to be. Sims is one game, where you can tear a house down, and rebuild it, if you didn't like how it came out. Unfortunately Webkinz can't do that.

I love your idea of stairs. Honestly I get very frustrated when rooms are added. The doors open up in other rooms and shoot my furniture in the middle of the room. I don't go and check every room because I have too many. Once you have a door on all four sides of a room it ruins the ability to place funiture. I think I will suggest to them that we have the option to at least decide if we want a door on a wall or not...thanks for making this point!!!

Oh and I also really wish they would let us remove a room. I don't get why we can't. They say we can't but I don't get why.

That's a good idea! I would love be able to sell a few rooms! I have several small rooms that I really can't use anymore.......I originally bought them when I was fairly new to webkinz and didn't have much KC. I would at least like to "exchange" the small ones for the large ones!

I have found the same thing. I didn't want to add anymore rooms to my house; there are only so many room themes, and it get's expensive and redundant giving every webkinz a themed room after you have one each othe the themes. So I have been avoiding adding rooms but just recently have re-done them so that they are more creative; and have grouped animals in themed rooms in high numbers. I've recently added rooms to my house which i didn't want to do so that one room juts out into no where just so that the room has only one door and more space to place furniture nicely. So I place a room, leave a space, place another room, leave a space etc. It doesn't make for a very nice house design; but at least it gives you a lil freedom to organize the furniture in a far more appealing manner and you can save this design for your "nicer" rooms.
