And as WebkinzAreSoFun has pointed out, anyone can still take a screenshot in order to take someone else's work. Right-clicking is not the only way to steal artwork if you are so inclined.

Your own artwork or graphics, my advice is to always put your name on them. Some programs will even put a watermark on your work, that would really help.
Even signing your name/username doesn't help.
There are websites where you can remove and inpaint over it, and it comes out as though there never was a mark, there.
Graphics will never be safe.
So when we make them, we know what risks there are.

I disagree. I don't think we should add this to WI.

I agree with Webberlily. If there wasn't copy and paste, I would probably have bad spelling because I can't copy a word and put it in my post. And anyone could take a screen shot. I take screen shots daily. Not to get pictures, of course, but to make pictures and edit them.

i understand what you guys are saying, the right click would just be on the images though. there is a certain code that you insert around the image or something like that.

Default Re: a right click blocker

if you put it on the internet, no amount of blocking can stop someone from stealing.

Whether through viewing the source or screen shots...

Best to think about what you put up and know someone is gonna take it.

Big no-no. How will graphic shop owners get their graphics to their customers? What if you need to borrow an image from the front page? I say we can trust the WI members.

Even if we DID get this, it would be a lot of work to add it to WI.

I think this will mainly become an inconvenience. As a WIki SysOp I often take images and content from threads to include in the WIki. This will just cause a lot of headaches for many people.

Also the right click blocker is mainly a deterrent. There are many ways to get around those blocks which aren't very complicated.

No, I love right click options!!!!! I steal them all the time - giggles - sorry but that is how I learned how to do a lot of things I otherwise maybe would not have.
