The golden rule does go through one ear and out the other. And that rule is important. Would you like it if I said that your idea stinks? I think not.
The phrase "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will not hurt me." is a BIG understatement. Words DO hurt, and they can hurt a lot. Unfortunately, we cannot avoid meanies, and we have to live with them for our whole life.

Rep for you too! You made a very good point! Physically being hurt is almost impossible through the internet(unless its a threat-big no!), but emotionally it can happen. It hurts inside, and also cyber bullying is in fact illegal!
