Default REP POINTS - TO TELL or NOT TO TELL???

Hi,

When you give someone a rep point are you supposed to tell them?

I've been giving rep points to the people who took the time to post a welcoming reply to my "introduction post", but I haven't been telling them about it. Now I'm wondering if I should have mentioned it. Otherwise how will they know I gave it to them (and why) unless they check their rep points frequently? The information I found here said only your latest 15 rep point comments can be viewed.

I'm also wondering if there's a way to keep track of who you've given rep points to. I once forgot that I'd given someone a point and when I tried to give them (a duplicate) one I got a message telling me I'd already given that person one and I needed to spread them around!

On the other hand, I'm hoping I don't accidentally overlook someone who welcomed me. Is there any way to see who I've given them to?

Thanks in advance for any help given!

You don't have to tell at all. It would be nice to if you would like, just to give a little heads up about it. Also, you can not see who you can Rep Points to, you can see the last 15 that were given to you though.

Thanks! But under the user CP area I can only see the people who gave ME rep points. Is there a way to see who I gave them to?

I want to give one to each person who takes the time to welcome me, but from day to day I'm not sure who I gave them to and who I didn't! I guess I could keep a list myself, but that's a bit too much like work!

if you gave them some latley it wont let you do it again, that is the only way i know how to tell. i am not sure how long you have to wait though before you can give some one more.

Maybe you should start telling them then!
