Question rep points?

you know the rep points that you get. how do they determine whether it is "positive" or "somewhat positive"? whenever i click to give rep points, it doesnt give me that as an option. but when i look at ones given to me, it will say, "positive" or "somewhat positive". does anybody know how that works?

yes it does. go to the control panel, you'll see what i mean. and if you can find the originating rep pt post, it'll tell you there. does anybody know the answer?

I must be missing something. When I pull up the control panel, if shows the original thread (if you click on that, it just goes to the thread), the date (can't click on), the person who left rep points (if you click on that it goes to their profile) and the comment (can't click on). What am I missing?

okay, i left out a few steps. when at the control panel, you click on the comment that was left. that will take you to the original post. once there, you click on the litlte hand in YOUR name square by "reputation" (the one you click to give rep pts on someone else). then it will say what the comment was and how positive the response was. if when you click on the little hand by your name, it says, "this post has not yet received reputation", then you selected the wrong one.

so, does anybody know how the system detemines if it is positive or somewhat positive?

Ok, I get it now. I don't know the answer, but just a thought...on the ones that say positive, how many people gave you rep points for that post? I don't have any that are positive--all of mine are somewhat positive--but the most comments on one post that I have is three. Maybe it becomes postivie with a certain number of rep points on that post--so it's not saying that the people thought the post was "somehwat positive" but it's just based on an overall rating--how many people thanked you for that post. Look at your ones that are positive and see if that may be the case. Let me know...now you have me wondering!!
