Dogluver, I have read those rules like 1,000,000 times. Do people ACTUALLY need a second thread enforcing something? If they don't follow the rules, they will get caught someday. These threads clog up the forum and are usually made for people to get reputation points.

Yeah, but I don't think everyone's read the ones Kevin posted... not everyone goes to this forum And yes, they WILL be caught some day. The rules I was referring to were the suggested ones. If everyone read them there wouldn't be a problem, would there?

These are the rules they have been told to read before posting: WebkinzInsider.Com Webkinz Forum - Forum Rules (They can't even post if they don't.) I don't think people need excess reminders, if they break a rule, the staff will let them know. I don't think it is needed for members to be correcting other members and attempting to act like mods, it isn't really fair for them to do that.

I agree, Jake. I am kind of sick of seeing the same thing being posted over and over again. It gets to the point where all the threads are just the same every time. People should post threads with NEW ideas, not about the stuff we already have. This is the Rules & Suggestions section, but people are missing out on the suggestions a lot. I'd love to see more of them instead of restating the rules over and over. (:

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but the problem is that not everyone reads the rules. Some might skim through it, some might just click "I agree", and just a handful probably have read the rules entirely and understand them, know what I mean? Sometimes they don't even go back (I didn't, to tell you the truth) and rely on others for reminders. I found this section a great place for reminders because there are members here telling you what not to do and explaining why if you're new or a seasoned member and have had the question since you joined. However, I think that extra threads about a topic that's recently been posted or discussed aren't needed. I know we have a lot of mods and admins willing to help, but sometimes a friendly nudge in the right direction from another member is good too. If a mod or admin corrects me in some way, for example, no matter how small, I would think that I did something really, really bad. But if another member corrects me, (let's say I used red ink that's reserved for admins) I wouldn't feel AS bad because it's just another member just like me. Do you kind of get at what I'm saying? (Sorry for the long post)

Still, how many people actually read them? Most of my friends just click the little box. I read them, but, I can see what DL is saying.

Default Re: Reminder Threads

Also, I didn't read all of them. So my default color when I first joined was a bright red. The mods/admins one. I went into the Rules and Suggestions section because it was the first one I saw, I noticed the rule, then I changed my color (:
PS: I noticed the rule by looking at one of those threads.

I agree, the reminder threads are common sense, everyone should know that already, its in the rules for most of them [dont post pics of yourself, dont tell age, dont spam.. ect]

I agree with another person also [forgot who while typing] I think there just for getting rep..

I actually disagree with this. Most people here forget a few rules over time, and need a reminder to get them to stop again. Its not really tattling, its getting rid of the problem before it starts.
