I agree that we all need to be patient, but we *also* need to be patient with those who get frustrated. Sometimes they may just be having a bad day - and although this is no excuse to act out or post something rude to another. It does happen.
If you see something rude or un-necessary, please do flag it.
That way a mod can speak with that person.
It's true, gets annoying and sometimes I have to fight the urge to yell at people after tough days.
the other day i saw a thread that was telling members not to make a thread with a subject that has already been made because people dont want to see the same topic over and over. the author went on to say that we shouldnt complain about things because its rude. im sad to report that 2 very new members felt offended because they dont know that people have answered the questions 1001 times. the author then changed part of her thread saying it didnt apply to new members.
i posted in the thread that i hoped the new members werent scared off and to ask ANY questions they wanted answered. i think sometimes its hard to find the answers to questions because 1. the thread it was in got deleted, 2. people dont know how to look up a specific topic, 3. this is a BIG forum and its hard to go through the whole thing.
i am by no means an "old" member but i have seen the same thread subject quite a few times but i think they are needed. some people post at 3am EST when most people are asleep, so by the time kids are awake and out of school the first post that asked "is anyone else not able to do their dailies" or "how do you PM?" they want the question answered so they make a new thread to ask.
ok im ranting lol, but my point is everyone was a "newbie" once and if we had read a thread telling us not to ask a question because it was already asked we might not be on this site still (i know i wouldnt) all i can say is we should be patient with EVERYONE old and new. if you dont want to answer the question then ignore the thread. if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all. (i think Big Bird taught me that lol)
~thats my opinion and im stickin to it ~
