I've noticed alot of bumping lately too..I reminded someone it was allowed anywhere but the GE and they got really mad at me. Then they stopped bumping and started posting the same message over and over. I don't think you should be allowed to keep posting the same thing over and over again either..Thanks for this thread..hopefully it will help
Never. The word BUMP is an acronym for Bring Up My Post. What it does is brings it to the top of the forum so that other people get a chance to respond. It is not allowed outside the Gift Exchange because then other important threads get side-stepped. There is nothing wrong with acknowleding a post or adding to the thread to make it move forward again if you haven't quite got the response you are looking for.
If you really want to get gifted, you have to check out Gingerly's thread on the How to post to become a Gifted trainee' thread. She says specifically, No Bumping, no fluff posts and no spamming a thread. If they see too many of those in your profile, they reject you from the program because they want people in the GE who can listen to and understand the rules. Then you have to try harder to get into the program. 50+ helpful posts and Two weeks in the forum.

still not getting the " Bump" post thing, try to explain it without using the word bump & insert the actual meaning behind the comment. I don't mean to be dumb, just not understanding the termanology, too much computer slang makes us common folk confused - thanks
