Default Posting duh on a help thread

I know everyone needs help, even you do, but are you that tempted to post duh on the end
of your answer? some think that you're considering them dumb.
Now do you want yourself to feel like a fellow member thinks you're dumb?
I don't think so. Duh is kinda saying this,

"Why would you NOT know THAT?"
"You're basically not smart to not know that!"
"Wow! you're so dumb to not know that!"

I know all of you don't want to hear that, so duh's just a simple word to say all
three of those sentences. Now, I understand people sometimes do that to a friend
to just be silly but here it's all typed out. Seriously I don't think all the duh's I see meant
any of those bad words up there but people will think, well apparently they're saying I'm dumb.
So if you're just typing it to be silly type in a simple LOL at the end,
its as easy as that, but if you just type in "duh!" at the end of answer, its kinda mean.
So before you type duh, think about what that member refers to what you were saying,
because what might be going through their mind from the word duh might
be one of these:

"Why would you NOT know THAT?"
"You're basically not smart to not know that!"
"Wow! you're so dumb to not know that!"

PLEASE NOTE
And seriously, I understand playing around with a friend, so don't start a fight with that on this thread.

Well, I've never been insulted by a duh before, but I've seen it happen to other people.

That is a really good reminderTacobell222. I know it would hurt my feelings if I asked a question and got a "duh" in the reply. I probably wouldn't ever ask a question again! Let's be good to each other, shall we .

That's my 2 cents.

I posted a helpful answer for someone yesterday or the day before about where to find something.. and they reply, "No I will not do that"

You want people to help you but you are mean w/ the people that do.. LOL I'll remember not to help that person again..

And ya, the Duh at the end of all the answers is really just so mean
No one should feel dumb by asking any honest question

Thank you for posting this! I hope everyone gets to read this. I hate it when people do that! I think that everyone who said duh, in one of their posts, should change it. Don't you think?

Yes...ty for reminding people or opening their eyes. I've come across posts with 'duh' in them & didn't think it was right.

I have never seen that happen luckily. I am saddened to know it does though. I hate the word duh, it can be nothing but negative. I really hope those who may have said it just sort of said it without much though and did not think the other was dumb and those who have said it will do their best to not say it anymore.
