Yesterday I saw a birthday schedules on the WI calender scheduled for today. I wanted to remember the birthday so I could send a "Happy Birthday" on the profile the next day, so I clicked "Request Reminder for this event". The next day, when I checked my E-mail, a reminder E-mail had been sent. I was a bit surprised, I was expecting a PM reminder. I know that some people here check their PM box daily, but not their E-mail.
So my suggestion is, when you click "Request Reminder for this Event" on a calender event, you get a PM reminder instead of an E-mail reminder.
Good idea, but there are other ways to remember.
You can write yourself a little note about dates you'd like to remember. If it's that important that you don't want to miss it, you'll probably remember it, though, wouldn't you?
See I am just the opposite, if I see the email I come over here, because I do not visit WI everyday, but my email is always visited every day. So they should send it to both the email and the PM don't you think?
Great idea! To me, it makes more sense to get a reminder here on WI because i think I check Wi more often than my own email. But, I am sure everyone has different preferences. It would be nice if you could get an option to chose either PM or email.
