Honestly this a place of fun, not somewhere to be concerned if you make an innocent mistake and misspell a word! Personally I think those who are proponents of using spellcheck would do best to check their own posts for spelling errors before advising others. I think they'd be surprised that their own spelling isn't as perfect as they'd like to think. People who live in glass houses...
Remember you're dealing with children more often than not, and that includes anyone under 18 (sorry; but it does) and the idea of worrying about your spelling when your amongst friends just isn't as important as what they want to share with those friends.
So again, if someone ELSE misspelling words is the biggest thing you have to be concerned about, thank the Good Lord that your life is so wonderful!
I must say this thread is not easy to decipher either, but that being the point. I really wonder if people can even spell at all and how to they get graded at school for it. By the time I was in 5th grade I was reading, writing and comprehending at 2nd year college level. The thing about that - most of my class was also at the same levels. Now you can't even have a conversation with most kids. What's up ? To think ...the computer was supposed to help with that ! ???
As a kid I find this VERY hurtful. You shouldn't judge ALL kids for what some do. I use LOL sometimes to make sure people know it's a joke, and MAYBE BRB. I know adults whose posts are WAY harder to read than mine. I think you need to stop blaming kids for something EVERYONE does.

I think that she is right, but slightly harsh. Abrevations are hard for me as a kid to read, and your post is full of them.

And finally, I wanted to post this. Yes, I do believe we should strive for a post free of spelling errors (as much as possible) but I thought we all needed a laugh.
