Good points! I don't mind something like "AHHH" that much, but the question marks and that type of thing is a little annoying.
I guess i don't mind that much, because i can just put my mouse over the thread and see what it's about in their writing. I usually don't click unless i'm interested in the topic.

Very true, the other day I was llooking at a thread called OMG and it was about a lucky day. If you can't do a good title, at leats do my lucky day or something that people can have the littlest hint of what it is going to be about.
I know what you mean. I am sure that it would be much appreciated to all members if the author would title the thread even the smallest bit relevant to the actual topic of the thread. Thanks for coming by!

I know what you mean, but sometimes, the mini-definition of the thread won't show up, it's just the title repeated, and the username of the author of the thread. Thanks for coming by to share your thoughts.

That is one of the solutions! LOL, just ignore the unclearly titled threads! I agree! Good idea.

I was just visiting a few threads, and something caught my eye. They all had unclear titles. Isn't it hard to predict what a thread will be about if it is titled OMG!, or ???, or ..., or Aaaaaaah!. Please, when creating a thread, make your title clear, so that WI members can easily identify the topic of the thread. Some members click a thread that is unclearly titled because they want to see what ??? means, but then they realize that they would rather not have visited the thread.
People are commonly complaining that there's a huge gap between the number of views their thread has, and the number of posts their thread has, but I'll be willing to bet that their thread was unclearly titled, so members came by to see what it was about, then left without posting because they weren't interestsed.
I just want to reccommend titling your threads clearly so that members can tell what the main idea of the thread is without opening the thread so they can determine if they'd like to read more about the topic.
Thanks!
...Oh, I forgot to mention that when creating a poll, it's different to name the poll question ?, because members already know what they are voting for, so it's not always necessary to type out a long poll question.
Thanks again for coming by!
Thanks for posting this, I totally agree with you here. I always try my best to make my thread title easy to understand and having to do with the thread content itself. :]
