I see your point. But I also see that staff's point of view.
Since being a staff is all voluntary work, its already great we have this wonderful and safe forum. But this idea will have to make the staff work even harder when they must also take care of stuff in RL, and keeping WI safe, etc.
Some people don't need to know in detail why their thread was deleted, or they just don't care/want to know. We are already fortunate enough to actually get a PM saying your thread was deleted, as opposed to waking up and realizing your thread mysteriously disappeared and freaking out about it 'cause your not sure what happened. If you really want to know what happened, just PM a staff. It makes it a whole lot easier for that staff.
Thank you for reading.

Thanks mickey. I understand that it's volunteer work. They do however give a reason for deleted threads. I'm just asking that they give the same brief note to a closed thread. It would take 20 seconds to add a closing post at the end of the thread, or send a very brief PM.

Sometimes there is no reason to post a reason. Sometimes the original poster flags it and requests that it be closed. Sometimes the reason may be embarrasing to the person to post out in the open. Sometimes a thread doesn't need to be turned into a lengthy discussion that isn't going anywhere but leading towards arguments. Sometimes we just don't have time to personally send a PM with a reason, unless it's really a rule breaker then of course we will, or it just gets deleted. Also posting a reason just bumps it to the top for no reason.
There are a lot of different scenarios as to why a thread gets closed manually, and like FIA said, you can PM any one of us as to why. I only see one thread of yours that was closed as a lot of threads in the Rules and Suggestions section are after a bit. It doesn't have to be taken personally nor are threads closed with that purpose.

Let's be real...it's confusing, embarrassing, frustrating when you get a notice saying that 'we closed your thread'....
Of course people would like to know why. We feel like we've done something wrong, and that's an awful feeling. (and nothing is learned unless we know what we did)
Yup I agree with you. I get confused alot when my post or threads get delted or even edited for that matter for no reason(or from what I dont know the reason of) The rules change alot

I appreciate the responses everyone. I can see that this thread can also be closed, and I understand why. This suggestion will not go anywhere at all.
